Long press the notification. It will bring up the app info button. click on that button to take you to the app info screen. That might give you a better idea what it is from.

I've been noticing the same icon on my HTC One Max the last couple of days too. I'm not sure what it is related to either. It kinda pops up randomly throughout the day and nearly every time I restart my phone.

I did that as soon as I seen it in my notification bar doesn't seem to be connected to any program or app on the phone that I know of

on a side note, I was trolling the forums for a answer to an icon that just appeared on my phone. in your screen shot you have the same thing. CAN anyone tell me what the sideways Z or up and down N icon is, next the clock? It just appeared on my phone.

I just got the same thing in notifications.

smith disabled - click here to open android

On my htc one (m7). Looks like a few weeks later than others. Other than the xda post linked above i can't find much else. Should i be concerned?what could i need an old htc data logger for if that's what it is?

If you are sure that it what it is, then I wouldn't be too concerned.
