i have a lg optimus that i dropped and it does not turn on now only the menu lights would flicker if i try to power thats all\

i have another lg i can perhaps use those pieces but what would i look for if i can unscrew it as well

Sounds like you have a broken LCD panel. You can search for a how-to online if the part is readily available and the replacement is not difficult. Let us know how it goes.
