I got a notification for an update on my s7 edge that seems dodgy due to the version number, Is it legit?

Some people have been reporting getting the newest security patch in the past few days, so maybe this is that? I haven't seen any new updates on mine (T-Mobile version) BUT I'm currently out of the country so that might be crippling OTAs.

I got a smaller update recently, bug fix type stuff on my S7 Nougat.. Best way is to ignore Popups and go to the device settings, about device... Software updates...

I had an update a few days ago too.

It didn't bring with it an update to my current February security patch.

I agree with the advice to manually search in your phones settings for updates , unless you've set your phone up to search at set intervals.

Thanks it shows up when I go to settings and update but the only thing that's weird to me is the number

You should be good to go then if it's showing up there.
