Is this normal? (Battery related)

Hey

For a couple of weeks now my battery life has been worse than usual, even more so since I downloaded the 4.1.2 update today..

When I go to Settings > Battery, the time value it gives varies dramatically all the time, but I guessed that was normal, I'm not sure now?

Before the update it was only Android and Screen in the battery list once I'd closed all the apps from task manager..but now Internet, Voice calls, Email etc are always there.

I don't have my emails or twitter syncing and I don't have facebook to sync, so I really dont know what is causing this.

This might be totally normal or I could be missing something obvious but I wanted to check!

Thanks in advance to anyone that tries to help me :)

I had only looked in settings and the internet for a few mins prior to the screenshots.

The only thing I can think to do is factory reset but my cloud backup keeps failing since update too and I don't want to lose my data/pics etc

Hello

You might be on the right track by doing a factory reset since updating to 4.1.2. Normally that clears up anything weird going on after an OS update.

Next problem is there has been problems and issues with 4.1.2 on the Nexus line, S3's and other devices running 4.1.2. Bottom line that is the reason 4.2.2 has been pushed out to the Nexus line to fix the issues with 4.1.2.

Thanks a lot for the speedy replies!

So its probably just a case of waiting it out and maybe there's another update rather than it being something I've done wrong?

I really don't want to reset without backing up and I'm a little bit crap with technology, so I don't know any other way to backup than the cloud option in settings - but will do some googling and work something out :)

I've always had the Google Now thing turned off and it still is so it cant be that :(

Thanks again
