Is this normal?

Yesterday I was away at a retreat with friends and was barely on my phone, by the time I went to bed the phone was at 32% battery with between 17 and 18 hours on battery but only 50 minutes of screen on time. Is this normal or is there too much battery being used?

Were you in an area with a weak cell signal? That could drain the battery faster than usual.

If you were away at a retreat where your phone was searching for a connection the whole time, yes this could be normal.

unfortunately this seems to be what my phone does most days. I actually had great signal where I was so don't think it was searching the whole time.

What do you see in your battery stats? Any app taking an unusual high percentage?

When i looked that day everything was fairly low, don't think anything was higher than 4%
