People who have it please respond. Also I just want to use it as a dedicated Daydream VR handset. Also as maybe a backup to my Pixel 2 (5").

I like the phone as a smart phone.
I have never tried any of the VR features.
The battery on the V30 last me all day, with a lot of screen on time. This phone sips battery juice. It is by far the best phone battery wise that I have ever had. Performance is flawless. Never have any lag. Pulls in a great signal.
Oled screen is gorgeous and bright. I personally really like LG's skin on android. It's far less intrusive than the Galaxy line, and causes less performance issues than a Samsung phone. The camera performs right up there with the reimagined galaxy, and the secondary wide angle lens is a very useful and cool feature. The front facing camera is this phones one flaw. It is adequate for me, but not great. You really can't go wrong with the V30.
So far I like it a lot. I bought it for the HiFi DAC. The wide angle camera is cool too. Runs smooth and I just updated it to 8.0 with LG Bridge last night.
How's your daily routine with the phone? Performance wise and battery etc.
I recently picked up the V30 and I'm still on the fence about it honestly. Coming from the G6, it's definitely an upgrade. The G6 is one of the worst, most buggiest devices I've ever had and I have to say so far, it is better than the G6. However, paying 500 for my G6 was a decent price. Buying the V30 from T-Mobile, it was 700 before tax which was marked down from 800. I can't really say if this feels like an 700-800 dollar phone honestly. And though I do like the screen, I feel the colors could be more saturated and the screen could be sharper. The Camera so far IMO isn't that great either. Battery life is decent so far.
I am really not happy though that I don't have Oreo when I picked up this phone and that I still have to wait.
I have the pixel 2 and v30. both are good devices in their own way. the v30 is a great feeling phone for the size. If the v30 had the same cameras as the pixel I would only have the v30. The software is a little smoother on the pixel. I love the wide angle camera but the front camera on the v30 is trash.
V30 is a good phone, great on battery life. Screen is trash though. LG's OLED doesn't come close to Samsung's. Bad black crush and tint issues. That's why they went back to LCD for the G7. You can find multiple complaints on the screen quality online.
I had the V30 for about a week and sold it because I couldn't take the screen quality. I'm on a S8 Active now. I'll be looking at the G7 though when it comes out.
