Is this really worth the wait?

The head honcho at Motorola just confirmed this bad boy exists and will be high end... Hopefully they release some more tidbits soon so we really know if it's worth the wait or not!

From that engadget blog, it sounds like there will be a whole line up of new phones that could be launching between now and fall.

I'm not sure about that, the ceo had stated that they wanted to streamline their products, similar to what htc is doing now.

Edit: my bad, I read another article that eluded to what you had stated. I'm not sure how you can streamline a product line if you plan on releasing quite a few devices in one year, but I guess we will find out!

If you don't need a phone right now, wait for Motorola. If your phone bothers you, Motorola is late to the party and you might as well get something else. It's not like they're going to significantly trump anything that's out right now.

So far here's what I got:
Processor made in Taiwan. This should mean Qualcomm, no word on which version yet.
OLED screen made in Korea
All other parts made in the USA, assembled in Texas
Available this summer
All US carriers (haven't found anything on an international version yet, but that presumably wouldn't go through the FCC, so will have to find another source)
Battery Life Innovation
Lots of extra sensors that make it contextually aware of your actions and may attempt to predict your wants of it. (God I hope this part can be turned off if it's terrible)

Kinda sounds like a precursor to something like irobot

Motorola has made some phones with excellent battery life. Not sure what they mean here. Bigger battery in smaller shape?
The OLED screen might help with the battery life, as blacks don't need to have the screen on. Thus better battery life and deeper blacks.
Prehaps a Snapdragon 800 CPU? ( or 600, hope not S4 Pro).
Extra sensors? Probably similar to the ones on the S4.

Excited Motorola.
You better deliver.

Is it here yet? Have you seen it?

As a matter of fact, I have one right now prior to the public release. The specs:

CPU: Matter/antimatter reactor
RAM: 1290,24 gigaquads
Display: multi-channel quantum reality tunnel with holographic projection
Camera: gold coated beryllium reflector with a collecting area of 25 m2 composed of 18 hexagonal segments. Image plane wavefront sensing through phase retrieval

Game over, Samsung and HTC.

I find your lack of faith in this savior X-phone disturbing...

Just like that "one" that kind of saved the industry,

Are you certain about that part? I haven't seen anything about T-Mobile yet. I'm gonna be sorta upset if I have to pay $550 for an edge phone.
