Is today the big shipping day?!

That sucks for you guys. So terrible. Last week I ordered a 32GB XL and it did ship out two days later. Guess they have lots of those.

That's interesting because they keep telling me they have none! I have one phone that is fixing to die and that's the one the 32 GB is gonna replace

So I was thinking about ordering a blue one. Can all you folks cancel your Pixel XL orders right quick? The phone sucks anyways. Right?

As an owner of a pixel, galaxy S7 edge, axon7, axon7 mini, i can tell you that the pixel is a good sub $400.00 phone. What it does, it does well (unless you encounter issues listed in these forums which I've had) . It is definitely not worth the asking price. When compared to phones in its class, you'll find you get much more for your dollar whith another brand. My galaxy s7 edge puts pixel to shame. My favorite is my axon7. Its got the same internals as the S7 edge, it performs just as fast as pixel and just as smooth. All Android phones have googles AI too. Has a much more vibrant screen, 64gb internal plus micro sd support, great build quality, and no phone out there beats the axon7 for its incredible sound system with hifi dacs and dolby atmos whether you're listening on its speakers or headphones. And you can get an unlocked A7 for 399.00. Make sense? The LG v20 is another great option over pixel, but I had the v10 and its shear bulk and weight was to uncomfortable for my liking.

I think the original owner was being sarcastic, suggesting that others cancel their orders so they would get a bump in line.

Also, your post is purely opinion of which many reviewers seem to disagree with. It simply depends on what you value in a phone. If you are more interested in software and services, it seems like the Pixel is your choice.

lol yeah I tested the small pixel before release for three weeks, have my own XL and got my wife the small one when it was $240 at best buy. I know exactly what it's good at and not :)

Great points. I had the Axon 7 too. It is a very nice phone for sure....but the camera holds it back. My S7 edge and iphone 7+ blow it away. The Pixel should as well.

I ordered my XL 128GB on 11/24 through Verizon, since it's very unlikely my family will leave their service. The ship date was always shown as 1/6. It arrived 1/5. Perfect condition. Bluetooth connects faster than any previous phone I've had. Data reception is very strong. A 15 hour day of moderate use brought the battery down to 68%. I haven't used the camera a whole lot, but I'm impressed. No halo effect yet. Had an update waiting for me, which loaded in the background and told me when it was ready to reboot. I'm a happy guy.

The Axon 7 is firmly a midrange phone to be sure, so it can't compete with real flagships for those who want what flagships have. That said, IMO it's one of the most awesome surprise phones of 2016 and I'm very impressed with what they did.

You lucky dog you. There are a vast number of people still waiting - like myself - who placed their order same day for the same phone.

Check your order status I was told Friday I wouldn't get mine until 3-10 and they shipped today!

My card just got charged, but no shipping info yet. Getting close!!

Guess all the canceled orders helped! Ha

Got the dreaded 3/10 email for my QB 128 GB XL ordered 11/25. But I just checked My Verizon, and instead of having a pre-order number with lots of digits, I now have an order number with 6 digits, status is still processing, still with no ship date.

Do you suppose having an actual order number means it's actually close to shipping????

I'm not certain that there is any rhyme or reason to all of this. I was told they do not charge your card until it ships. So, to me, the indicator is having your card charged. My order number and shipping date and preorder number have changed multiple times.

To rub salt in the wound, I picked up the smaller Pixel for my wife late in the day on Black Friday. The local Verizon corporate store still had the 128G Pixel XL (black) IN STOCK!!!!

I officially have a shipping tracking number for my black Friday order.

So, the march thing was apparently bull ****
