Is "Touch to search" available on the Pixel?

I use "touch to search" a lot on my 5x while reading articles on chrome. Does anyone knows if it's available on the Pixel?

Not sure if touch to search was a part of Google now.. Just curious.

I would love it if it were system wide now- only dreaming..

Are you referring to Google Now on tap? I think if you hold the home button till the assistant comes up and then say to the assistant something to the effect of "find similar stories" it works, at least that's what I thought I read

I just tried it on my Pixel XL and it still works. I'm also a fan of this feature.
