Is two edges better than one?

You've seen the Note Edge. This one is supposed to have two. Is that a good thing? For those who have used the Note Edge, how IS the extra screen real estate? Really useful? Gimmicky? I'm more concerned about how durable that curved part is when dropping your phone.

I'm confused, hasn't this device already been confirmed by carriers? Why is it in the rumored devices forum?

For me, I think introducing an edge S6 is a good idea. But 2....no.

UPCOMING & Rumored Devices :)

And I posted this before the teasers haha which pretty much seem to confirm there's only one edge on the S6 Ege

Ah. Just seems odd when the other s6 isn't announced yet and it's in the samsung forum. I doubt it will have two edges though. I think it will be just the one. Hoping this phone comes out close to the announcement. I wanted the Note Edge but I wasn't willing to wait the then unspecified amount of time for it to release so I ended up with the regular Note 4.

Apparently the edges on the Galaxy S6 Edge are not as large as the one on the Note Edge and some people are suggesting they won't offer as much functionality as the Note Edge. Some are even going so far as to suggest that the curved screens on the S6 Edge are basically just for show....considering the rumoured price premium you'll be paying for the Edge variant of the S6 that's a bit of a bummer if you ask me

The edge on this new device seems more sutile than on the NE, my bet is that it will display notifications and the clock/date only, I guess Sammsung developed some kind of palm rejection technology.

I get that evolutionary dead-end feeling when I look at the S6 Edge...

Edit to add their are currently video's of it in hand for interested parties ;)

Idk, I have the note edge and the edge allows me to put the more important apps at my fingertips and open them up with one hand. I think they could be good in certain aspects.

I'm not sure about having two edges. I like the one side edge. I'd have to spend some time with the S6 edge to see if the two sided edges are useful and not awkward

On top of that on the note edge in landscape mode the drop down menu is not accessible with the Edge on the top. Flip it upside down and you can get to the drop down menu. I wonder what they did with the S6 Edge in this regard

Clearly the two edges are for left handed folks (12% of the population) and the other 82% of the righties in the world. Since its not going the Note Edge route with tied in apps which are cool in and of themselves I am looking to see these in person and look at what Samsung will offer on the Note 5/ Note 5 Edges.

Functionality be damned, the edges are purely for show. As a function of aesthetics, they are spectacular.

Two women... are better than one.
Two beers.... are better than one.
Two heads.... are better than one.
Two edges....

No offense meant to our friends with the Note Edge, or women, or alcoholics.

Well the reduced functionality of the edges of the s6 certainly do not have me wanting it. It's like having two women but ones retarded and ones fugly.
