Is waterproofing really that important to you?

To me, yes it is. It's not that I get my phone wet or dusty that often, but I want a phone that I can take anywhere and in any environment. It's a "feature" that raises the bar and sets the top tier of phones apart.
 
Not a deciding factor for every one. In normal daily usage it is hard to believe that we are truly in need of that feature.
Some people in some specific environment needs it.
However, it's an additional feature welcomed always...
 
This feature wouldn't stop me from buying a phone but if it's down between two phones that are exactly the same but one is waterproof I'll take the waterproof one.

My Moto Razr M died when I was at Keuka Lake. My daughter left some pool noodles in the water off the dock and I didn't want them floating off so I jumped in to get them. Forgetting that my phone was in my shorts pocket.
