Is Your Device NAKED?

I would like to have my Moto X naked, but since it's brand new I need to protect it...even if it means a darn case. My Nexus 7 has a case as well, but that's more for travel purposes.

Neither device I have is naked.

Samsung Galaxy S3 (4.3 OS)
Screen Protector
Vera Bradley Case in the Heather pattern made especially for the Samsung Galaxy S3 phones (New item that they've come out with. I found out about it on their web site. They're finally showing some love to the Samsung Android phones.)

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0")
Screen Protector
Black Case that I found out at the local Wal-Mart when I bought my tablet. Even though I keep it in my purse when I'm traveling, I feel better having a case on it versus leaving it without one.

I had a case for my Nexus 10, but I found out it added extra heft and just got in the way 99% of the time so I got rid of it.

I have a leather and matte case for my white Nexus 5, but only because it needed the extra grip.

I've had smart phones for years now and I've never dropped and broken one yet. Cases aren't necessary for me.

I know you have never dropped and broken one yet but a case would definitely be a great thing to have just in case something freaky happens and you end up dropping your phone. I'm just sayin'. I've had smartphones since February 1, 2007 and I've always had cases on my phones, The way that I look at it, with how much money I pay for the phone, the case and screen protector is just a little added peace of mind for me.

Just putting my two cents worth in here. Take it for what it's worth.

I don't use a case, but I use wet-applied screen protector and bumper, it doesn't add any heft to the device and still keep the look (Nexus 4 front and back glass).

I do it to retain the resell value and also I hate scratches on the display, it totally ruin the viewing experience, I know screen protector take away a bit of the touch experience, but its never been a problem on a phone with a good digitizer. However there are oleophobic tempered glass screen protectors now, but they tend to cost more. Also I know people argue screen protectors add a layer over the screen that take away the quality of the display, but it depends on the quality of the screen protector.

Maybe it won't be as much an issue with sapphire glass displays.

Screen protector on my nexus 7. I have a flip case for it but hardly use it.

i love the design of my gadgets, so...sleeves for travel (in a backpack), and naked when in use (macbook pro, iPhone 4S, nexus 7). my GF's iPhone looks SAD in it's armored case.
the trick (of course), is to not drop things...

I've found that I'm uber careful when my device is naked

Always naked...personally I think if the designers have spent all that time designing the phone that way, then that's how I should appreciate it's looks. I understand people want to protect their phones from damage, each to their own and all that, but for me ?...nah. I like the way my Moto G looks...I don't want to cover it up.

For all of my previous phones a vertical leather pouch case was a must to protect from marks, scratches etc whilst in my pocket or jacket, otherwise naked in use.

However, I find the G rather on the slippery side in my hand which made me rather nervous using it outdoors so eventually I decided to get a Cruzerlite Bugdroid Circuit case which arrived this morning and I can highly recommend it.

Fits like a glove. nice and grippy, cut outs exactly where they should be, and a nice lip around the screen. I understand exactly where you're coming from about not wanting to cover up the looks of the phone itself but to my eyes it looks even better. As mentioned I've never had such a case before but the peace of mind of not worrying about my phone slipping out of my hand is priceless (by the way, I'll now be keeping it in a fluffy phone sock whilst in my pocket to protect the screen! lol). :)

My Moto X is currently naked. Got a case coming in the mail. I'm enjoying not having a case on it so we will see when it gets here.

I've seen some brutal things happen to dropped phones... I prefer to keep my phones in a case at all times.

That being said, I have never dropped a phone (except once while at home which landed on the carpet damage free)

Which back have you got Sizzers ?...I've got the original black one and it's not slippery at all to me, maybe we just hold them differently ?
I've got some slight marks on the back, I got hair product on it from when I was getting my hair cut a few weeks ago...it's left a strange mark, but it's only visible in the right light and at an angle. I was going to buy a spare black cover, but no one's selling black ones...a quick email to Motorola UK and they gave me the no. for their repairs centre and said I could order one from there. I haven't phoned yet so I don't know the cost. Here's their number if others need it 08712 000 995

Possibly. Mine is the original black too but I don't hold it any differently to any of my previous phones but not a problem as I like the case.

For a little update, I got my cases today. They're called Bear Motion on Amazon. I'm really enjoying it and it feels good on the phone.

I just switched from a GS4 to a Moto X. The GS4 I kept in a Bear Motion sandy case because I hated the slippery feel of the phone and the case made it feel better. The Moto X soft touch plastic feels so nice that I'm keeping it naked. I've never used screen protectors on any of my phones.
