With everyone trading in their Evos and most saying it still looks brand new, I was wondering if the letters have fallen off yet ... I know the letters sit inside the engraved HTC logo but mine fell off one by one about 4 months after I bought it at launch ... That was surely a design flaw or they needed to invest in stronger glue.

I've had my EVO in a case for mostly the whole time I've owned it so the letters look like new.

Mine all fell off in a one month period. I think after I had owned it for about 8 month. Must have been the cold weather!

the digitizer is shattered on my evo and i also have no power button ( i dropped it and it broke off the motherboard) and its a launch device.. still has the letters though!!

It's too hard for me to believe that you have had the EVO since launch day a year ago and this is only your 2nd post at Android Central ... lol

My letters are still there. Wondering for those on why your letters come off. Do u put ur phone in your pockets or case? I have a hip case and rarely put my phone in my pocket.

In my case I just happen to notice the " T " was laying on my bathroom counter ... When I looked at my phone it was then that I noticed the " H " was already gone ... Right now the " C " is holding on for dear life.

I have a clip holster, but before I got the SGT, I was on the Evo so much that I was changing the battery out two or three times a day, and four or five on weekends. I believe that every time I pulled off the back cover, it would bend slightly and that slowly wriggled the letters free. It actually took a while for this to happen, but after 8 months, they fell out in succession in a matter of days.

I think if I kept the Evo in my pocket, they would have fallen off in a few months.

I keep mine in my pocket, and it looks nearly brand new :) (with the exception of the couple scratches from time I accidentally threw it at the wall lol)
