It does seem as though we're the only two people in the world with this issue, though.![]()
Nothing new to report since the one reboot.
You tried the stable release recently, or do you mean previously? I'm not sure when the last stable release was rolled out, or if it's the AdGuard app that was fixed, even. Since I'm using the nightly versions, I'm not sure how you'll know if the stable works (unless you have tried it recently).
LOL! I have just been pretending there is this huge audience watching our conversation. Hey, if they aren't watching now, you never know when someone is searching this topic for help. And to further that point, keep reading...
I haven't tried a stable release in several months.
I decided to go check on the stable release date. I thought it must be in the past month. Either this page isn't updated or it has been a long time since a stable release. It shows AUGUST 29, 2019 as the last release!
So... there could be people still hitting the problem if that's the last stable release.
Maybe I'll email them. Yeah, I will.
There is also the beta channel between stable and nightlies, FWIW.
I just wish we had a definitive answer as to what it was that (seemingly) fixed the issue. If it really was Google's fix, you should be able to use the stable version, I'd think. Hopefully, they'll email you back with some insight.
I looked into the beta because you mentioned it and went on a journey through various web pages to end up here where AdGuard declares a workaround was released on Dec 7 in the nightlies and beta. It says it reduces but does not eliminate the reboots. They also say they think the fix will be issued in the next Android update.

So, they just released a new stable version 3.3 in the past couple of days. Did you switch to that? I scanned through the very long list of changes and didn't see anything specific to this reboot issue but I may have missed it. It was a long list! I would not be surprised if they kept the band-aid fix out of it in hopes of a solid fix in January update.
Again, sounds as though their description of the issue being improved but not eliminated is spot on.
Yes. This is reassuring that they are being honest about the issue and do have an idea of what's going on. One week until January so that means we might get the next update in 3 or 4 weeks.![]()
I got the Dec update on my 3 XL right away.
I keep forgetting this is a Pixel 3 forum and you have a 3XL. I mainly use a 4XL now. Its update was delayed into the third week of December. My Pixel 3 got it within a day, like yours.
Will touch base after January update.
~21 days, 3 short reboots.
Not a single reboot since I got my pixel 3 XL and updated to Android 10 about a month ago. All good here.

That is better than I recall. Wasn't it every 2-3 days? I am waiting for the Jan update (not expecting it anytime soon after last month).
When it hits, I guess you have to wait 7-8 days to see what happens unless AdGuard officially announces something.
No didn't use that. Sorry if this thread was specifically about that. With AdGuard?
