I think it's more like they will say it's normal wear and tear but it's much too early and too often for that to be true.Devil's advocate but I see this as normal wear and tear. :/
Bad metal or bad process. You think it's a sprayed coating? To me that's a flaw in the paint process they do . Never experienced that on my other phones this early on .
Coating I would thinkBad metal or bad process. You think it's a sprayed coating?
Hmmm ...I'll look into thatI'm not using a Pixel device..But, I applied some clear nail polish on my device to stop such a situation..DIY hack......
Dont feel too bad fellas, at least your didn't start coming off 3 days after you received it brand new from the Google store......... already spoke with Google and I'm still within my 15 days of purchase so they are sending me a replacement as we speak and they claim they will notate my account that if this happens again I can get the warranty on it. They also claim that the newer batches for 2020 don't have this issue anymore, we shall see lol
I get the impression that the Pixel is just an accent to their brand.Well it sounds to me that from what you've said they've acknowledged the issue :O maybe they should start taking care of the problem before folks start talking with their wallets. It's a good thing Google has money to throw around on low selling projects like the pixel line, because a small part of me wonders how much longer they'll continue to sell pixels.
I love that they come out and almost immediately drop hundreds of dollars in price just to get them off the shelf... awesome for us pixel fans, but can't be a very lucrative business venture for Google lol.
That's not goodWell, it is happening to mine. Only 3 months in. Always in a case (Spigen liquid air ase). Took it out of the case 2 days ago and noticed the peeling on the back of the upper left side and lower right side. Where the black meets the back white side of the phone. Sucks for resale value. Really sucks.
