All right; so as far as I can tell, no one has yet produced a poll to actually check and see what percentage of users frequenting these forums are affected by this problem. It's a pretty major issue to be sure; it's responsible for something like 15-20% of my new phone's battery drain, and the cause is still unknown.

For the record, I have a Verizon S6. I have attempted all of the usual "fixes"; however, none of them has worked. I have a feeling that a much larger percentage of users on here are experiencing this than many of the apologists would like to admit.

Don't get me wrong, I'm 100% Android. Hell, I'm a tech reviewer professionally... that's my job. So I'm not here to hate on Android or the S6. But let's get to the bottom of this and see just how many people are dealing with this issue.

Thanks for participating!

They use their common excuses.
One is; we here in these forums are a small percentage of users. I don't see how that proves anything.
So 75% of S6 users here in these forums are having this issue. How does that not translate to 75% of S6 users not here?

I'm in Australia with Optus Network. My brand new out of the box s6 lost 35% battery in standby overnight whilst I was sleeping. Sometimes it seems to be good but today I was doing a lot of driving and the battery drained very quickly with cell standby being the number one battery user.
