Hi community,

I am need help with my Marshmallow 6.0, whose internal storage I want to extend. When doing so Android still gives me the option to either safe everything to internal or external, but not both of them at the same time. Android also doesn't add up both capacities but only shows the original internal storage.

Welcome.

Could you explain the screenshots? When you inserted or formatted the SD card, did you choose to add it to internal storage? What device do you have? Not all devices support the feature.

Hello hallux,

The "Used of 32GB" always stays the same. Also I think I remember there shouldn't be a migrate option after one formatted it as internal. It should all be internal storage afterwards. I saw other people's pictures and they don't show "Default write disk". Just as I remember it to be.

Cubot Max should support that option up to 64GB. I recently reset my phone and changed the SD card afterwards. I had a 32GB in before, but I don't exactly remember how the menu looked before reset. I also tried another 32GB SD card (Kingston) but with the same issue. I didn't use the 32GB SD card I used before reset, hoping I might be able to rescue some data somehow. Mounting it with loop or something on Linux.
