Issue with Google Music App and LG Optimus G

I've installed a custom ROM on my optimus g, and after a night of continuous usage of the google music app, it hasn't crashed :thumbup: but now I want to know what's causing it to fail. Unfortunately I know nothing about android development

I'm pleased with it. Missing a few things like quick memo and no fonts but other than that its quite awesome.

I still error. Cleared cache, uninstalled updates and let music auto update but still no love. Its really getting annoying there is no fix yet for stock phones. I might have to root and install a custom rom if this keeps up. I am just a noob when it comes to rooting and flashing I am afraid to brick my phone!

I'm having the exact same problem described here, except I went a little further "above and beyond" to fix it. To be clear, my phone is a generic CDMA LG Optimus Plus (think Alltel), and it's running the very latest version of Google Play Music, and Android 2.3.7.

I've tried:

• "Pinning" the songs in question to the phone's storage
• Clearing the cache in the app
• Disabling caching in the app
• Clearing its cache from phone settings
• Clearing its data from phone settings
• Deleting the stored data with a file manager
• Switching the storage location to the external SD card (sadly this hack will not work)
• Uninstalling and reinstalling the latest version of Play Music

The songs in question are ones I have not purchased or recieved for free; they are part of my Google Play All Access subscription.

For those of you still having problems, have any of you tried the BubbleUPnP app mentioned earlier? It's free to try. Would be interesting to see if these problems persist or if using another app to play your music fixes the problem, or at least provide a temporary workaround. I really like the BubbleUPnP app. Not only does it work pretty nice for local playback on my Android, but even better, I can stream both my locally stored and even my All Access music to my Xbox or directly to my TV and home theatre. Simply awesome.

Trying this bubble upnp app out. Seems to stream just fine. I might actually buy the paid version. Seems though some playlists I have pinned don't show up and not sure if this is a limitation of the free version.

So far it's not a bad app. Wish I could shuffle my Google library but nice to have all my music at my disposal again. Sucks I need another app to do that though!

I have this issue also and have tried all the fix options beside the Bubble app. So it's fair to say that if a third party app streams fine then the issue it's with LG's streaming parameters? It's kinda sad that I've gotten so use to the error that i just fast forward to the next song.....no biggie to me now. But i would like a perm fix to the stock app or stream parameters.

Clear your play store cache and restart your phone.

So the bubble app is good when I'm at home, but doesn't work when I'm not on wifi. Decided not to purchase the app for this reason. H

I may just leave stock and flash a rom because it seems none of them have the error.

Google streaming (WiFi, 3g, or 4g) stops with same message on my phone, between :30 to max 2:15.

What problems are you experiencing when not on wifi?

That's strange. It should work. You might want to contact the developer. He's very responsive and knowledgeable.

OK I gave up and flashed CM 10.2. Music works great now!
