Issue with Nova unread count

Ever since a recent update to Nova launcher, the built in unread count for Email (used to be Samsung Email) always shows a count of 25, no matter how many I actually have.

Anyone else run into this and find a fix? Been a month or so, but haven't seen it fixed yet.

Do you have the Nova Unread add-on app and have you gone into the advanced settings and configured the Samsung Mail app to reflect the unread count?

Yes I have the unread plug-in. I have had it for we'll over a year and really like it. The issue started shortly after the change to the material design. The Samsung option is gone, replaced by 'email' but with the same icon.

I also tried to disable that and use the notification watcher instead. It works 75% of the time. When it doesn't it will show 999+ when in reality it is a handful.
