Issue with phone ringer volume randomly turning on

Hello all,

I've had my phone since initial release. Seems like out of nowhere, my phone starting acting up. I keep my volume on vibrate. Randomly, every few hours, the volume will turn itself on without me even touching the phone.

Does anyone have any idea on what may be causing this? Anything I can do to figure out? Is this happening to anyone else?

Are you keeping it in a pocket, or anywhere else it could come in contact with something that's pressing against the volume button?

Nope. Most times I notice it, the phone is sitting on a table, floor, or my bed, with the screen facing up to ensure nothing is touching the screen. I'm almost thinking that it may be an app that's doing it, but I'm not sure there's a way to easily figure out which one it would be.

I may do a reset on the phone fairly soon and see what happens if I can't figure it out. Just wanted to see if anyone else has had this occur to them.

I have the exact same problem and it is so annoying. I thought it might have been an app but I deleted a whole bunch of apps and it still persists

My issue is still occurring and I have no idea what's causing it. It's literally random as can be. I've just about learned to live with it lol.

It drives me crazy. It gets my blood going to because I'll have it on vibrate and all the sudden he goes he'll loudest setting.

Yep same here. Especially irritates me when I'm in places like the grocery store. If others are having the same issue, hopefully they come forward and we can figure out something.

Same thing is happening to me. At seemingly random intervals, my Galaxy Note8 ringer volume will increase about 2 clicks. It doesn't increase to max volume. I'm positive this isn't a result of accidental button pressing.

I'm currently going through and deleting apps one by one.

Any advice is appreciated!

Clear cache afterwards just as a precaution and double check everything that just remotely smells of permissions.
If you tell the phone to stay quiet it should, so a permission setting somewhere or a roque app is my guess
