I am trying to delete an extra home screen and every time I do I get a message that says touchwiz has stopped responding. Any ideas? Not rooted, stock launcher and nothing on that screen.

Have you tried restarting the phone? If not try that first and report back. I haven't seen a Touchwiz issue before.

Did a restart same error and did a battery pull with the same results. I didn't have this extra home screen but it appeared yesterday and now I cannot rid myself of it.

Perhaps resetting Touchwiz Home will fix the issue. Not sure if it'll reset all of your pages and icons.
Settings > Application Manager > All > Touchwiz Home > Clear Data

Well I gave that a try and it reset the home screens but alas when I attempt to delete extra screens I get the same error message.

How are you deleting the extra screens? I start on the home screen, do a two finger swipe down(you can also hit menu and edit page). This shows all of the home screens, then I drag the one(s) I don't want into the "remove" icon.

And I cleared the system cache as well with no change

Unfortunately it could be related to a number of things. If you're willing to try it, do a factory reset from the recovery menu(not from settings). If that doesn't kick it in the pants then you have two options. Try rooting/ROM'ing or get an exchange from Verizon(If they'll take it for that reason)

I guess that is the next step of attack. I will do it and report back thanks for the help my friend

I have the exact same problem with my Samsung G III. I get the same error "Touchwiz is not working" when I attempt to pull an extra page down to Remove. My husband has the exact same phone and he can delete the pages. His Remove turns Red when he drags the page down over the top. We both just accepted an update so we were exploring what are the new things with the update. You know....it's always a surprise...and this error only one my phone has come up.

Same problem here...any other suggestions
