Issue with updating to Froyo

I forced my phone to check for an update and it found it and downloaded it. When it reboots to install, I get the following:

Build : RA-eva-v1.7.0.1
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
E:No signature (624 files)
E: Verification failed
Installation aborted.

Any ideas what's going on here?

i get the triangle with the exclamation point and the little android guy after it tries to install. do you get that error?

No, I don't get that error. Just what I posted. I scanned the SD card and I don't see any files there, even though it said it downloaded an update. Any help would be appreciated. I am fully rooted, but stuck with a stock rom with root access.

mine just goes straight to the bootloader screen when I select update now.
I have tried at least 10 times and get the same thing.
