Issues after upgrade to 10

Ever since my G8 upgraded to Android 10, I've had 2 issues that have reared their ugly little heads. First - every time I put my phone to sleep and put it in my pocket, it takes a few minutes and then starts back up on it's own. Sometimes I can tell because the phone gets warm in my pocket, other times, it starts streaming audio and/or video, and I hear it...all on it's own.

Second issue is that every time I finish with a call, the phone plays my notification sound...like I have a text coming in, but the only thing that has happened is that I finished a call. Has anyone else run into this, and is there a fix, other than reverting back to Pie? Thanks!

Apparently not. The "tone after call ends" does not...the auto-starting after putting to sleep didn't yet, but I haven't been out much to really test that.

If possible, try to use the phone for most of a day in Safe Mode (I know, that can be tough). If it doesn't restart on its own, then I would suspect one of your apps you installed is causing instability. The challenge would then be figuring out which one it is -- you might just have to uninstall apps one by one until the problem goes away.

Did this start happening after the update or certain app was installed recently?

You don't necessarily have to install new apps yourself after an update to encounter issues like this. If one of your previously installed apps has problems with Android 10, then the system update might have unmasked the issue, which is why I still suggest testing it in Safe Mode. If it works in Safe Mode and if you can figure out which app is the problem, then you can send feedback to that developer about this bug with Android 10.

Instead of going through all that hassle, I first tried doing a factory reset to see if that fixed the problems. It did. I walked around a lot today with the phone in my pocket, and it never woke up on it's own, and the "after call" notifications have disappeared. Thanks Diddy and mustang for your help.
