Interesting situation-- I just picked up 2 DT910s and 2 DT900s, and the DT910s do not charge my equipment at all, but the DT900s charge fine. I do not know why (my equipment has no case) its a Galaxy Note 3 with the Samsung OEM Qi back.. Placing the phone at any angle to the DT910 stand including laying stand sideways, does not work, but everything works 100% well with the DT900s..

If anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears...

I was reading about these chargers and from what I understand, it is hard for phones other than Nokias to charge with these because of the small sweet spot on the charger due to it being a vertical stand and the phone not being able to be positioned any other way.

i understand that, but even placing the stand so that the back is flat ie parallel to the ground, nothing happens. i can place my phone in any position (ie rotate in a circle 360 deg) more or less in the middle of the DT900 (even perpendicular to it ie like a cross) and it charges. the DT910 doesn't even cause a minor 'blip' of even trying to charge. really weird. i bought the last 2 of each in the store (each at 50% off plus corporate fan for another 25% off), and have 4 others DT900s on the way (ordered yesterday) because no one had local stock (except for new store not even on google). i'm sad only because the dock looks good and NFC chip already built in. i'm taking those two back...
