Issues turning on, and staying on.

A few weeks ago I had the issue where my nexus wouldnt turn on, eventually I was able to get it on, by plugging it in, waiting 10 minutes, then holding down the power button for 60 seconds straight. However, after I do this, it works for about 45-60 seconds, then goes to the Nexus X screen in the boot animation. It stays there for a long time and never starts back up. When I then hold down the power button to make it shut off, then back on again, it does the same thing for the 45-60 seconds (maybe about 90 seconds actually). However when it is on, I am unable to click any apps, or do anything. I click chrome, and it does the glow thing to show I tapped it, but nothing opens. I can still switch screens, open the app drawer etc and the glow stays. I can click another app, it does the glow on that one and the one around chrome disappears. At this point I have been desperately trying to do the factory reset option. I am able to open the settings by dragging down the settings panel, and clicking settings. I go to backup & reset, and go to the factory reset option. I tap it, it goes to a warning screen saying this will erase everything yadda yadda. However when I get to it, I hit the "Erase Everything" button, and it does the glowy thing like I hit it and its working, then dissapears, and nothing happens. A few seconds later it goes to the nexus X boot animation screen. I have searched around and learned about recovery mode factory resets, so I tried that. I powered it down all the way, and held the power button and both volume buttons. I get to the bootloader screen fine. I use the volume buttons to cycle to recovery mode, then hit the power button. The screen goes off for a few seconds, then the google screen shows up, then it goes to a black screen with andy in the middle and it says "command not found". I then held down the power button and hit the volume up button, as I read somewhere online. The screen went black again, went to the google screen, and then it went to what looked like the normal bootloader menu, the difference is you can not cycle through the options, and it says "Downloading": in the middle. I let it sit at that screen for 2 hours and nothing happened. And now I am asking for your help. I cant figure this out, I just want the thing working again, doesnt matter if I lose everything on it.

Don't do the second thing you mentioned that just puts it into download mode for u to flash recoveries or ROMS you need to keep trying to do a factory reset any which way you can that should fix it if not go download a factory image for it and flash it I believe you can flash through Odin not sure so double check with some googling but either way should get you fixed up.

It should give you options once your in recovery I'd recommend wiping both caches as well that helps a lot too if you can't do it from recovery check xdas website for a factory image that you should be able to flash through Odin and that'll get you back to where you wanna be

Go over to Xdas site and get a factory image for it it'll be Odin flashable and it should give you instructions on the download page

Soo I went ahead and went into recovery to try and help you further and to my surprise mine said the exact same thing yours did while trying to get into recovery mode command not found haven't really researched this too much but definitely will cuz I'm interested to know why it acts like there's no recovery installed at all I'll keep you posted if I find out any reasons as to why this would be happening I've only had my N10 for a week and a half and I know recovery worked before the 4.2.2 update and now it won't any thoughts?

Well, 11 days later and I still havent been able to get me nexus working. When I go into bootloader mode as its turning on, it says "Downloading" and wont let me choose recovery mode or anything! I cant get it replaced because this was given to me as a gift and dont have a receipt! I need to somehow fix this. Pleasee help me.

Can you get a P. C to recognize it? If so just use wigs nexus root toolkit and install TWRP it's awesome and you can go ahead and root it while doing so if you'd like.

Well then hmmmm get ahold of Google for a refurb it's definitely still under warranty you shouldn't need a receipt doing it this way they should issue you a new one once you get someone on the phone and explain your issues

I just posted what may be a solution. Check out my posts on the N10. Mine had the same symptoms. It is in a boot loop.
Once you get in, do a factory reset.
