So I got the OTA update .905 and I'm rooted with Titanium pro as back up. I dont have forever root. So I put all the bloatware back & unfroze everything and the OTA wont go thru. Keeps coming up as an error. I figured Id just re-root after the update and set everything back as I had it. But cant get the update to load.

I'm a novice at this rooting thing. The OTA update gets about 1/4 of the way thru and an error picture shows. Doesn't tell me squat. Any advice? I know I don't really have to update but I'm one of those nerdy nurse chicks who just has to keep it all fresh.

Thanks in advance!

What I would do is un root your phone and get it back to out of box condition. After you are fully updated then root again.
To un root download RSD Lite 5.7 and the FXZ File to your computer. Then plug in your phone and start RSD Lite and start the un rooting process. There is a youtube video that shows you how this is done.

He uses RSD Lite 5.5 but it no longer is available for download anywhere so just use 5.7

I had the same problem, so re-installed 902, and let it patch, and then used motokill (?) to re-root. Wasn't nearly as bad as getting to 902. (except when it installed webtop about 6 time, had me worried)

Use VooDoo rootkeeper. It temp unroots, installs, then reroots your phone. Did it yesterday =)

Thanks yall, gonna try it & ill let yah know.

Here are the instructions if anyone wants to 4ever root:

Open an app such as Root Explorer from the market
Navigate to the system/bin/mount_ext3.sh
At the top of the screen press the Mount R/W button
Long press mount_ext3.sh
Select copy
Navigate to sdcard-ext
Press paste (this will put a clean copy of this file on your sdcard in case things go badly)
Navigate back to system/bin/mount_ext3.sh
Long press mount_ext3.sh
Select Open in Text Editor
Scroll to the bottom of the file
Press the the return key on the keyboard to put a empty line
type the following:

chmod 4755 /system/bin/su
chmod 4755 /system/xbin/su
chmod 4755 /system/app/Superuser.apk

(note: there is a single space between chmod and 4755 and there is a single space between the 5 and the /.)

Press save
Press the Mount R/O button at the top of the page
Navigate to the mount_ext3.sh file and long press it and select “view as text” in order to confirm the new lines are present in the file.
Exit and reboot.

I have my phone 4ever rooted, applied the .905 update and kept root.
