Issues with Aquamail???

I've been using Aquamail for a few years now. It's always had pop up ads but here lately they've gotten much, much worse. So much so, that, during replying to a text message, an ad pops up, cutting me off mid sentence. I have since deleted it but the ads have not went away. Is there a virus checker I can run, or some way to find out what's causing this issue? Also for some odd reason, if I have YouTube on, it'll all of a sudden go to a small screen, and go to my home screen. Ugh!!!

Check the Guides section here - https://forums.androidcentral.com/ambassador-guides-tips-how-tos/. You can also run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and a good antivirus app. (Which one is good? The one that has the signature of the virus or Trojan that you have, and that changes back and forth, day by day.)

I recommend Kaspersky for scanning. It can detect some NASTY trojans that crap like AVG cannot. This has saved me a few times (got too adventurous with obscure APK sites... Lesson learned...). Are you using one of those cheaply made free VPN apps? Those cause the behavior you describe.

Well, you probably have some covert adware on your phone that is not malicious (enough) to be detected as an actual threat. Uninstall anything you installed around the time the issue started and see if it fixes anything...
