Issues with email

I'm coming from an og evo and have never had issues when it came to getting my email sent to my phone. I just now switched over to this new evo and now have noticed that I'm not getting my emails on a regular basis. I've already put it to sync every 15 mins and nothing has changed. Any tips would be appreciated.

Hey Ice, I'm trying to pull email from my hotmail account, one weird thing I noticed is that under settings-accts and sync- my hotmail sync is red not green like the rest. It's been also saying sync is experiencing problems, but it's been like this the whole day.
