Issues with my sim card

I guess the SIM lock feature under security settings is if you want to assign your SIM a PIN to be able to use it (kind of an extra security layer for mobile connectivity)...
It is highly unlikely that T-mobile would lock your phone, but if so, you should get some sort of message alerting you that your phone is locked to your carrier, etc. etc.. But it seems that nothing happens when you insert your ATT SIM.

Nothings happen when I Insert the Att sim doesn't acknowledge it..

Just a thought, you probably tried them all.. one of your posts shows a screen and a selection Carrier (under mobile network, advanced I believe). If you hit that, does it take you to another screen? Is Tmo or ATT listed as carrier? Or does it give you the option to Add Carrier?

hmm. That makes me believe that there is a physical issue (on SIM Card or phone side) that is not making correct contacts between SIM card and phone.

The card works fine in other phones and the phone works fine with a Tmo card. My only other thought assuming it's not software is that the card might be worn but makes good enough contact with other other phones or the phone card reader might have too much clearance to read that specific card.

Sim works in few other phones so not sim ...phone side my tmobile sim works though

Maybe try a new sim? Based on my experience in some cases sim card cant the issue event it works on the pther phone

Even though the card works elsewhere....Could be it's not making contact in the phone because the card is worn or the phone reader is not making contact. There is a way to test that but I'm afraid to suggest it.

Reading through forums, etc, sometimes the SIM card and or SIM card tray interface has very tight tolerances, so it may work on some devices, but not on others. Some have tried supplementing the SIM card by using a small piece of folded paper to make sure the contacts between SIM and phone are secure. Others have reported bad motherboards and needed replacing. SIM card may be worn.

Try going into the dialer and dial the following (with ATT SIM inserted):
*#*#4636#*#*
Select Phone information
Scroll to the bottom and select trigger carrier provisioning.

How can I test that ?

Bring it to your AT&T store and ask them to help. If they can't, ask where the nearest Device Support Center is, go there and see if they can help. (Just a different AT&T SIM card may solve it, though. AT&T seems to be afraid of those things, they hand them out like they paid to get rid of them. I've never been charged for one.)

thanks for all your advice guys but now my tmobile sim dont work either so just going exchange it

Your problem is slightly different, but reminds me of a re-provisioning problem that I had with Verizon a couple of years ago. When I travel, I use a local SIM card. when I returned to the US and inserted my VZW SIM card, it would not work. My wife's iPhone had no problem. Verizon said that this was an HTC provisioning problem and the only solution was to get a new Verizon SIM card. Verizon shipped a spare SIM card so that I could insert it, contact Verizon and get reprovisioned on return to the US.
