Issues with wifi tether

So I'm all set and rooted on ICS now, my wifi tether works with one issue, everytime I open something one the phone(browser, SMS, kik) I get the "What the hell, your phone has taken over.." message, the screen pops up where I can select a wifi connection for my phone even though the phones wifi is off, and tether shuts off. Anyone else dealing with this or any suggestions on how to fix it?

Isn't there a setting for this in the network setup? I can't remember what it says but I think it's in advanced.

In the app? No. I've emailed the devs and waiting for a reply, just wondering if anyone else has had this problem since upgrading and hoping someone knows how to fix it.

Mine keeps doing this too. I never had this problem with my old phone. Maybe something with Samsung I can't figure out.

Ok, finally found the settings to hopefully fix this issue. For some reason I couldn't get to options until a wifi network was available to connect to. Had to unchecked "Notify me" and check "Never Auto Launch Wifi"

I can't get my wifi tethering to work. My computer doesn't find my device. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

My phone has a viper inside of it.
