I am using iSyncr to sync my music to my phone. I just realized that although iSyncr says it is syncing to my SD card it is syncing to my INTERNAL SD card not my external SD card. I don't see an option to sync music to my external SD card which is where I want it to go. Does anyone have any suggestions?

What phone are you using that has Internal, and external memories? I don't know if there is a device that has 3 storage area's, that is:

SD internal
SD external
Internal memory

The program should display a popup asking which memory to sync to - is this happening?

Please email me for more support at iSyncr@Jrtstudio.com so that we can get iSyncr to sync your iTunes library properly.

yeah the internal storage on s3 is called SD and the external is called EXT SD but i know nothing about iSyncr mate sorry

When you connect your phone or open iSyncr a pop up let's you choose to which drive you want to sync.

What OS are you running in your computer?

In iSyncr:

Settings -> Default storage -> SD card.

Your choices are internal storage or SD card with iSyncr. Mine is stored on the ext SD. I have verified this using Astro and Kies.

Interesting. That's the way mine is set up but it goes to the virtual SD card. I'm using iSyncr wifi. It was actually Astro that made me aware of the issue. I was checking available space on my SD card and realized I had way too much.... ;)

That is interesting. I am using the wifi version too. Here is a screen shot showing the syncr file on the extsd. My music is all inside that folder.

iSyncr asked me where to store it and I selected the external SD card. I don't remember the exact prompt, but my files are definitely on the ext SD.

Orrrrrrr you could also try actually contacting the dude from iSyncr that took the time to post in this thread.

They were very prompt when I had an issue with my S3.

I use iSyncr wifi, and when I select a playlist to sync it gives me options on where I want it downloaded, of which one of the options is the external SD card.

This is what I see:

I actually did that yesterday. I sent them an email. They replied with questions. I answered last night. Now waiting for another reply...

I am actually having the same problem and with the help from Astro File Manager confirmed it's writing to the internal SD (16GB) vs. External SD (32GB). My thought is that this might be a setting on the HTC Rezound phone rather than the iSyncr application but hoped you had an answer to your note and posting.

I am following up to let you know this was not an issue with iSyncr, rather an issue with the SD external card. The best I can figure is that when verizon downloaded the new andriod OS (4.0) it tried to unencrypt the SD card; which it did but made the card unusable even though it was mounted.

My fix was to removed encryption then shutdown and pull the SD card out and reinsert it. Once the phone was restarted it formatted the SD card.

Now I am able to redirect music to the external SD card.

I am having the same problem In fact Isyncr doesn't even see any sd cards (/mnt/sdcar or /mnt/extsd)
I wrote to them and still wating for a response..
Here is what they said:

Hi,

Shoot. You're running the latest version (4.0.1), right? Which Android device are you using?

Hi,

So if you go into Tools -> Settings -> WiFi Policies, do you see an option at the top called Default Storage or no?

Cheers,

I have your app on my phone and tablet (I am a paid customer)
For some reason, the available /mnt/extsd (or any other sd media) is not being shown as an option to set the default sync to option.
I have root on the tablet.
The only way I can sync is via USB and running isync.exe from the extsd drive from my windows pc.
Do you have any suggestions? I would prefer to do a scheduled Wi-Fi sync on the tablet instead of the manual process.
Thanks for such a great product!
