It appears HTC SENSE didn't change at all (or very little)

Peace,

did the update and i now have Froyo--not a party pooper but other than speeding up the phone, a few camera tweeks and extra apps im not to impressed :(
from what I've seen there were no real changes made to SENSE---the twitter app (which i love) still does not have a Trending Topic option, the weather (after sliding unlock) doesnt load immediately like the HTC HD2 (maybe like a 2-3 delay) and no real modifications to the HTC Calendar...
Dont get me wrong---im glad I downloaded---just not all that impressed

You and me both brother. I thought their was going to be some real cool changes to the sense ui. Boy was I wrong, anyways were both about to get flamed in 3,2,1....

I do think the more visually-appealing changes will come with Gingerbread. Froyo was meant more for performance improvements.

Where do they come up with these goofy names lol

You think that's bad? You've obviously never used Ubuntu. The alphabetical order thing is fun, but it seems short sighted. . . . That, and my wife and I are bitter that we were wrong about the next version's codename. I was sure it was going to be "Gelato." And what happened to A and B?

I'll stop now.

Is there anyway to get the ui that is like the one on the nexus one. With the 3 little boxes for phone internet and whatever the other is.

Did I miss some post that promised changes--any changes at all--to Sense? Froyo is the Android OS. Not sure why anyone would expect Sense to change with this update.

I just wanted the phones performance to incress as also getting full flash 10.1 on my evo. Now the camera recorded seems better with the fps, and its still according to HTC not the final version of Froyo for the Evo. So maybe this is the beta test before the final august 3rd release. Not sure but its still the Evo 4g. And its one of the best smart phones out right now so you ether like it or you don't.

Try LauncherPro, actualy gives you 5 little boxes, and you set them up for whatever app you like. Also the launcher bar will scroll to you can actualy have 15 app shortcuts down there.

Home screens in LauncherPro also work in landscape. (yea! for no more sideways clock when sitting on the desk).

Just know before hand, that none of the SenseUi widgets work in launcherPro only in SenseUI.

I'm happy with it. No real data yet but my battery barely lost any charge over night and it was not on the charger.

I know some love sense, so I don't wanna rain on any parade. But I prefer stock android so much over sense or any custom UI layer. Even though sense is the best of them all, I will take plain android any day:-)

This is why I like Android so much! Everyone has their own preferences for the look and feel of the UI and we have the CHOICE of how we want the UI to look and work.

I like being free to customize my phone.

Just figured I'd share my thoughts. :-)

that sounds like you are talking about the launcher. find some in the market and try 'em out. that is the only way to find what you like.
