It feels so much better without a case.

I purchased the fabric case from Google with my Pixel XL 3 and I love it.
I always try and use the thinnest cases because I have an office job and I don't want something too bulky.

This case is amazing, it is by far my favorite case to date. It does not add any extra weight and anyone who has held this can't believe how great and light it feels

The problem with skins is once it's on you are stuck with it. With the case you can take it off and enjoy the phone without the case. Personally used dbrand few years back but I go the case route (simple carbon fiber is my preferred) and take it off once in a while especially at home.

You can put a case over the skin... :)

But yea it is not "removable" I got 3 and will use the blue one for about 3 months then change it out. Just keeps me from getting scratches on the frosted glass.

I think in some cases removal will damage the skin

Got that right. Glock handguns are reliable, I don't second guess the fact they are made from plastic. Plastic does not have to be cheap.
Gotta say, a piano hammer is the worst example of a plastic anecdote I've seen. Hammers are felt covered rubber or other similar material . The arms are still almost exclusively made of wood. But I get your point, as not only glock, but HK, one of the most battle proven mfr of weapons in the world, has in their lineup many models of polymer frame guns, with a plastic internal piece used in a few places.

I love my HK USP compact more than any other firearm I own, but for carry, Glock just makes a whole lot more sense. And I know I can rely on it. But yes, thanks for getting my point. =)

You are correct about the construction of piano hammers. And yes, all arms are still made entirely of wood. Actually it is the piano jack in the mechanism itself that is being replaced with ABS plastic by some manufacturers. That's because ABS wears much better in the jack mechanism than wood does and doesn't expand and contract with moisture as wood does.

As for handguns, my personal carry is a Smith & Wesson 9mm Shield and the frame is indeed made from Polymer plastic!

For all of you "no case warriors" this happened today. Fell from 6 ft on concrete. Im devastated. On the side note, im surprised that the screen didn't shutter. This device is very durable. My s9 would have had its screen shuttered to pieces.

If you bought the insurance, make a claim, pay the deductible, and start over again.

I've kept mine in the Google Fabric "Fog" case since it came out of the box and I dropped from about the same height on to a ceramic tile kitchen floor. No damage whatsoever. I love this case.
