It's been more than a month

To each their own, but having choices is always a good thing regardless of what you choose :) Eventually you will see contactless pay systems everywhere and it will become the norm. It wasn't that long ago that I remember having to ask stores if they took credit/debit. Card readers were few and far between.
You must be really old. Stores have been accepting credit and debit cards for decades.

But then again, the simple point and shoot on the Galaxy phones, the ease and I guess "dummy proof" photos are great. haha

I don't understand why the LG V20 does not have an auto mode as good as Samsung or Pixel. LG doesn't want to or cannot do that? A Pixel with manual mode would be perfect imo.

What do you guys currently think about your phones?

Has anyone returned it, or will you return it?

Have you broken the camera glass?

I'm personally still enamored by the device, I get great pics, it's fast and smooth (a few apps crash due to them not quite being optimized to Nougat, but A LOT less as of lately), no scratches.. no cracked glass.

I have a s7 edge and v20 as my work phone. Personally I love them both. There are benefits to both. If I am listening to music or watching shows on my phone it's always on the v20. Camera's I think it's each their own if I am in the mood for Manuel controls I use the v20 but if it is just pick up a phone take a picture I gravitate to the s7 edge it just takes slightly better auto shots. But honestly both phones are fantastic s7 edge is awesome on 7.0 nougat. And no my camera glass has not broken even through I dropped it a few times

I tried the unlocked version on Verizon, and the Verizon version on Verizon.
Returned them both... too much missing.
Part of my issues were indeed carrier related with both phones. Had I been on another carrier, I very likely might have kept it.
I seriously miss the music... it was outstanding with good earphones. And I was beginning to really like the 2nd display.
Went back to my Note 7 for now.
When forced, I'll probably grab another Note 5 off eBay...
Can't seem to get over not having the S-pen, and the S7 Edge 32GB I can't live with.

Sweetpea, I'm 52, and I remember having to ask if stores took them or not... It also has to do with whether you were raised in an urban or rural area. I live in a rural area today where many small businesses have never accepted them... So no, you don't have to be *really old*... :-)

I do. I open my wallet and whip out my card.

And you'll never run into store employees who aren't familiar with paying with that method.

It is more of a security reason to use Samsung Pay and whatnot. They use tokens and not your actual card number so if a card reader / swiper was on the machine they wouldn't get your actual info.

I love mine, although I have to admit it hasn't been my daily device since Thanksgiving. It goes most places with me anyway since even through Bluetooth the audio seems superior to my old N7 and even the iPhone I currently have as well. I'm sure enough of you have seen that I was one of the unfortunate souls who cracked their camera glass within the first like 10 days of ownership. Other than that, I don't really have any gripes with the device.

Being my first android device lacking capacitive touch buttons/home button, that was the biggest thing to get used to. The fps took a minute to get used to but I love it, it's by far the fastest and most accurate one I've tried. Love that you simply place your finger on it and viola, unlocked!

The screen took a bit to get used to as well, but it grew on me quickly.

The camera glass being crippled shouldn't be enough to keep me from using it as my main device since I'm not taking pictures day in and day out, but its a let down and definitely sucks. I still use it for music and jump on it to do most tasks as soon as I'm home. Love the large screen, love how fast and snappy it is with just about every single task thrown its way. Just patiently waiting for a replacement piece to show up. I'll order 5 of them when they do 😇

What makes Samsung Pay better than Android Pay?

MST! You can't use Android Pay on 'normal' swipe terminals, only on newer NFC-enabled ones. Samsung Pay works with any terminal (NFC or magnetic stripe as long as it's a swipe one).

Are the new chip readers in pay terminals MST as well? The swipe method with magnetic strips will slowly be phased out.

A little over a week and a half with mine and I'm loving it. Great pictures. Improved Improved speaker quality. Same great audio through wired connection. Refined software with Nougat. Excellent battery life(total surprise for me). Beautiful build. Getting a custom skin from Skinit in the mail tomorrow. No complaints at all. I just hope it stays that way. If it does I will keep this phone and upgrade only after I've paid it off in full.

Yes. The speaker coming from the V10 is amazing. I hated the speaker on that phone.

I did too. I guess the only "con" for me with the V20 is the premium but slippery build. Feels cool to the touch just like it should though. That's why I ordered the skin. I refuse to destroy the simple, slim aesthetics with a case.

I have a case on mine but frequently take it off to feel how it should. My wife has a very this case on her G5 and everyone I pick it up, it makes me want to take my case off.

I think Samsung spends A LOT of resources on their cameras so they can compete with the iPhone's camera in Auto and that is why their auto is better. I don't think LG is trying to compete with the iPhone there.
