It's official... (Update: Lag out of no where?)

Stock launcher is butter smooth for me

Yeah I tried a couple launchers and frankly they didn't add much that I really cared about so far so stock has served me well. Can still customize other things to spruce it up a bit. Stupid fast on stock.

There's your problem, Nova. :p Nova has given me problems in the past so I avoid it.

Actually, and this is unfortunate, I think it's the SD card. I only keep music on my SD cards. When it's installed, the lag occurs. When I remove it, everything is fine. I even tried a second SD card - same issue. Shoot. Will exchange and hope it's just his one particular model.

Not using the 200GB Sandisk one from the promo? I have seen no issues and I have that one in.

I don't know why certain people hate on LG's UI!?! Sure its not great but it isn't as bad as some make it out to be. It works very well for my needs on my G4.

I dont understand either. I actually think it is great. I had a Nexus 6, and it was butter smooth, but Pure Android can be beautiful and boring at the same time. LG does some cool stuff

It's definitely a lot better than Touchwiz. I don't miss that at all!

Let andriod finish indexing the card - probably what is happening. It does that sometimes out of the blue.

I got my V10 the minute it was available and it's been butter smooth so far. I've had my 128 GB card, and now the 200 GB card in there.

I once had an ASOP rom on my S3 and hated it because it was umm, a little boring as you perfectly put it, lol. I suppose thats why its referred to as 'Vanilla' Android. I love Vanilla ice cream though, lol!

Agreed! Touchwiz is ok when you first get your freshly new device but after a few weeks/months pass....it just starts to fall apart (stutter, lag, sluggishness, freezing, lock ups, etc.).

Well it's happening here.

Yeah not saying you aren't having an issue, just stating mine is good so far in my specific usage. There could be an issue with how it's being used differently I suppose, or maybe some cards or phones are bad in some way with relation to using the SD card slot?

I always go back to the original launcher on my phone. Haven't gotten any for this phone. Most launchers are buggy, require too much resources and drain battery not to mention the dozen or so app permissions you have to agree to.

Oh, I know you weren't. Sorry, didn't mean to sound snarky. I'm a little annoyed at this though. Should have kept my mouth shut about how much I was enjoying it.

The card was in there for several weeks. Pretty sure it finished indexing a while ago. Thanks though.

Re: It's official...

The quality is ABSOLUTELY awesome on my vehicle over bluetooth. I have a really nice system and it is so nice and actually better than my other phones. Also, I don't have to turn it up like crazy to make the audio loud enough to hear. Another nice feature is that the blue tooth stays turned up so that I don't have to keep turning up and down the bluetooth each time I pair to my Jeep. Finally, I have a 12" sub in my Wrangler, and the loudest I have EVER heard it thump was watching a video over my speakers with my daughter waiting for my other daughter after school. (I wasn't driving so don't yell at me)

That's like saying eating chocolate cake is better than dog doo though! Ain't setting the bar that high! I loved all my Samsung phones, but the touchwiz always had me a little angry. I think it was the colors mostly.

I prefer the new touchwiz against everything even stock (especially with the different theme options.), the lg ui is very ugly and i never use it. I have nova on my lg g4 and v 10 no problem whatsoever.
