I've got a Nexus 5X, you've got questions. Let's do this!

Hi Russell,

Does it have ceramic side buttons similar to the Nexus 5?

Thanks!

The buttons don't feel like the plastic on the rest of the phone, but also don't feel quite as nice as the buttons on the OG N5. They're still good, nice and close to the casing and plenty tactile, but not quite the same.

How is the speaker? Loud?

Good for music and the speakerphone function?

The speaker is just OK. It's not exceptional in any way. Probably not the best for music, but capable for conversations.

Had u compared the OG Nexus 5 with d new one. Specially the camera which has no I.S. but bigger lens. What's the difference that can be spotted. Also where would it be rated as per pricing ( Underpriced or Overpriced or Value for Money).

Tried writing this a moment ago but it didn't post.

I know you haven't had it long enough for a review, but, at first glance, do you think it's worth upgrading to from a G3?

You seem to be a big fan of the Moto Pure (which is what I'm using now). Anything you like more about the 5X?

Like other users, I'm trying to understand if battery life is an actual improvement over last gen N5. Have you had the phone long enough to notice significant improvements (or maybe disappointments)?

Cheers!

Another plus for interest in battery.

My Moto X Pure Edition was $20 more, came with microSD, qhd, front facing speakers, leather and more. I really enjoy it, but the battery is average at best. Im already seeing reports that the speaker on the 5x is meh, along with possibly the battery and those bezels. But those photos coming out of the 5x looks great, and im ok with a 1080p screen as long as the battery endurance improves with it. Russ, I know you have the MXPE as well, I would love to see a comparision between the two.

In reality, how long does it take to fully charge with the charger provided and would you say you can (finally) make it through the day of moderate/heavy use?

I love my Nexus 5 but can't live with the battery life. Could I expect better from the 5x?

How's the screen. I remember the original Nexus 5 was a bit washed out. Since you used the S6 for a while, how does it compare?

I second this question. Moving up from a Nexus 5, and have both 5x and 6p on order. Seeing more unboxing videos, the size of the 6p is giving me some concern. I really like to be able to operate the phone with one hand.

EDIT: Sorry, I saw you've answered this twice already. Disappointing answer, but thank you for providing it. :'(
