I've got the new Moto X, you've got questions. Fire away!!!

You like it so much that its worth over $150 dollars?
I would say many do. It provides the same user experience as a Nexus phone, but also provides some seriously helpful and useful additions. Plus customization options, which are very important to a lot of people. And isn't that what Android is all about? Options?

I've been basically using a Nexus 5 since February and still want skinned devices, or Moto devices, just because they provide more options. Not just bare the bones of Nexus.

Does the Pure Edition sold in the USA support Band 3 LTE? I'm thinking of buying one in the USA via MotoMaker when I go there in November, but my carrier only supports Band 3 LTE. I'd want to know if the phone sold via MotoMaker would work.

Thanks!

Sorry for the re-post, but I didn't see an answer yet - any news or info on if the new Moto X supports Wifi calling on T-Mo?

It's to my understanding that to have the new X on T-Mobile you must buy the unlocked through Motorola only. Cause of this, it will not support T-Mo's wifi calling. If I am wrong, someone please say so.

Is the new moto c going to come with the 50 gigs of free Google drive that the 1st gen did??

Does anybody know whether the different colors have different textures (aside from leather or wood) like the 2013 version. I liked the soft touch feel of some of the colors but some were more slippery feeling.

Agreed however a micro SD card slot and removable battery would be to die for. The touchless voice control and customization features are all excellent as well. I think Motorola would do well to stop drinking the Google Kool-Aid. Apple must be rolling over themselves in glee with the very capable moto X ceeding the 4.7" smart phone segment to them without a fight. What were these guys thinking??

I'm hoping it does, since the unlocked pure edition from Moto comes with a T-Mo SIM in the box, and T-Mo said at UnCarrier 7 that all smartphones from then on would support Wifi calling. Even though it's not a carrier phone model, the Google Play store devices don't come with SIM cards, so I'm thinking this is T-Mo's way of selling the new X without actually selling it.

I loved using the moto x 2013. I would like to try the 2014 but I have a few questions. I have been an iPhone user for years and the one thing that I notice switching back and forth are the small and I mean small stutters. Like when opening the messaging app or hangouts it seems to load the app and then a little later the keyboard pops up. I have also seen it in reverse like the keyboard goes away last. I have eliminated the transitions to speed it up but there is still a subtle difference in the speed of moving around and the iPhone seems to move faster to me.

All of this is subtle but it starts to wear on me as I use the device over time. Do you notice any of this with he 2014 x?

There's a bunch of overlap in LTE bands with AT&T and Verizon. So why wouldn't the AT&T (or unlocked version) work on Big Red, other than the lack of 3G coverage?

Because Verizon requires the phone's ESN to be listed in their database to connect to the network and will not add the ESN of non-Verizon phones.

Ah. So as always, they are ********. Got it. LOL
