Hi, I've just converted from a Nokia to the Galaxy S3. I found Nokia PC Suite and Nokia Suite VERY useful for editing contacts and calendar, and also for sending SMS from my PC while at work. Is there an equivalent programme for the Galaxy S3? I've got the Kies but all it seems to do is synch my data (very useful!).

Does the s3 allow you to download gifs from a text message? My old phone could do it so I would be amazed if this smart phone can't. I can download a picture from a text message by just hitting the menu button but saving the attachment is not an option for the gif. Help? Thanks.

i have been facing problem of battery drain
for simple apps like kindle, whatsapp battery drains like anything with lowered brightness, wifi off, gps off, BT off (Please see the images)
the steep drop in charge is due to kindle. Is it normal? Screen is consuming too much of battery even with minimum brightness. When screen is on you can see the charge dropping pretty quickly
what should be maximum screen on time if i use my phone for chatting, browsing, reading book with GPS, wifi off and brightness at 20%

I have a Samsung s3 and my play store isnt working or updating my apps. Every time I open the play store up it says cannot open play store. I have went to my settings but from there I dont know how fix the problem any suggestions is much appreciated. My phone is a nightmare just now its just crashing all the time due to problem

So i go into Settings then "Battery" and all is says is Android OS 99%
yesterday there was 10 things on that list and the highest was the Android OS at 30%, the screen at around 24%, and Google Maps at 20%. The 4 lowest items were using or had used 2% of the battery but I'm not sure what those 4 items were.
Now, the only item this list displays is the Android OS at 99%...
Can anyone please tell me why i can't see any other items on this list? I have looked for related topics but couldn't find anything. If anyone can point me in THAT direction that would be greatly appreciated as well.

Hi, I have a Samsung Galaxy S Blaze and I currently have an old picture as my wallpaper which I would like to save but I can't seem to find where I can "get" that photo - it is no longer in my Gallery and it is not an option in my wallpaper options - can anyone tell me where the image is stored on the phone? My Galaxy SIII GT-I9300 was working fine until last night. I noticed that when I plugged the charger in it was not charging. I shut it down, removed the battery cleaned the contacts and re-assembled it but it still would not charge - the battery was at 51%. I tried removing the battery again and replacing it but when I turned it on nothing happened. It would not boot. I plugged the charger in and a blank battery icon appeared on the screen with a rotating circle in the middle. after a while the dots under it began to move and the red light (top left) appeared. So I left it on charge overnight in the hope it would work when the battery was fully charged. First thing I turned the power off and the battery icon showed a full green symbol. I tried to turn the phone on but it would not boot. The blank battery icon appeared again and kept going on and off every 10 seconds or so. I plugged the charger in again and much to my surprise it began to boot when I pushed the on button but soon a green robot appeared telling me it was downloading and not to turn it off. I left it connected while I went out. On my return there was no icon, nothing. I have tried everthing to get it to turn on without success. I help the start button down for 20 seconds but nothing so I decided to try a hard boot. However holdiing the volume up button down with the on button simultaneously does nothing. The phone just looks at me blank! Any ideas welcome.
I called Samsung today and they are sending an envelope for my phone to be returned. Good job there is a 2 year guarantee!

Help I have samsung 3 and people cannot hear me and the same if I call them? They sound fine to me, this happened a month ago sent away came back all fixed, and bam its back again, now I am in Australia and possibly on the wrong forum, but after emailing my phone company on a friday night, I am posting everywhere as I dont want to have it fixed again, I want to get a handset that works, thank goodness its still in contract, do u think I would be better with a different phone, ?

so I went to the drive in today . and somehow with in the time of me being there I lost my phone . so make a long story short when I found long and be hold it had been ran over . sooooooo now my screen is terribly cracked and blacked out I cant see a picture but and see a small light under a little crack . the phone still works I can hear the sounds from turning it on and my home bottoms etc still come on . but my screen is completely blacked out . I don't know if this is just my screen my lcd or my digitizer that is broken or all of the above . so I don't know what my next step is to fix it . PLEASE if anyone has had this problem and knows the solution let me know im dying with out my phone !!

Problems with connecting to a wifi network
I have gone to Settings - Wifi - put the wifi switch to green - selected the network I want to connect- entered the password, but only the option to CANCEL seems to work. The option to CONNECT is seen but cannot be operated

In the world clock section of the S3 standard clock app, there is no listing for Norway at all - not even the capital Oslo.
Is there any way of customising or adding other countries?
It is strange that some small pacific islands have an entry and a larger european country does not.
New Zealand has two entries (as a Kiwi I am glad someone has realised there is life south of Auckland). Norway has a similar number of people and no entry at all.
