'I've Ordered a Nexus 5' Thread! (Order & Shipping Discussion)

Seems to be a pretty random setup on who is getting their info sooner. I ordered around 1:00pm pacific when it showed it would ship by Nov 8th. I got a tracking number on friday but there has been no update after that. The tracking number page just shows that shipping has been paid for.

I got my shipping email Saturday at 1:42am pst. (that's California time) and my tracking number hasn't been updated at all. Still says the same thing.

Ha that's the exact same time I got mine and it hasn't been updated either so I'm hoping I'll receive it tomorrow.

Ok just became more worried/depressed. lol. I ordered the same exact model and I'm in Socal. I wonder how Google manages all this. Congrats man. When did you initially place the order?

Has anyone from the Dallas area received their shipping notification. Still waiting on mine for a 32 gb black that I ordered within the first 10 minutes with a ship no later than Nov. 5th.

san antonio here, got my email that it shipped yesterday though it doesnt leave till the 4th. I ordered around 4:30 last thursday

Don't sweat it too much. I got my despatch email Friday evening, but the tracking website had no updates all weekend. Checked again this morning (Monday), and they have updated it to say that it's on the van for delivery today.

It's probably just the delivery company's website not updating over the weekend.

Yeah mines been sitting at the 'label has been created' screen since I got the email. Weird thing is the ship date is marked as 11/4. What are the odds I'll get it tomorrow? (I'm thinking zero, but who knows)

I got a shipping notification at 3:33 Sunday afternoon! I ordered at 5:30 am on November 1, and it's shipping to New England, USA. I got the white 32.

My receipt said by November 22, but it has been shipped! I really wasn't expecting it to be so soon. I thought they had to build the next batch or something.

Guys help please. I got my tracking number but it's stuck on"initiated" on the FedEx website. There is an estimated delivery (thursday) but I'm not sure if FedEx have the package yet since its still initiated. Anyone else?

Nexus 5 is in my sticky hands!

Ordered an hour after announced and delivered 3 days 15 hours later (including the weekend). That is pretty damn good service for high-demand product on release.

Okay so i'm not the only one with shipping weirdness here.I ordered mine and it said Nov 8 shipping. I did receive a shipping notification but it contradicts itself



It says that it has shipped but also that it is supposed to ship by November 8. UPS is still waiting for the delivery too.

The Play order says both ships by Nov 8 and that it has shipped.

I won't say that a new phone is of THAT importance, nor that speculating on shipping date is hard actually.

Does UPS do not transfer parcels from one place to another during weekends? or to put in another way, do the UPS parcels move during weekends?, I'm not asking about delivery or pickup but the movement of parcels from one place to other. In my country the parcels are being moved from one place to another even on weekends but they don't deliver on Sundays.

I'm asking this because lot of people complaining about their UPS packages(Nexus 5) aren't being updated on the tracking page, is it because of the weekend holidays to the office staff or even the UPS truck drivers(those who drive long routes not the ones who deliver within the city) also get holidays on weekends.

I think you're definitely right. UPS does not work on Sunday I think. It's just that the refresh game is getting crazier now that the phone is so close

Mine's just arrived Was originally showing as 8th November when it was ordered. Other guy in the office who ordered the same time also just got his in the same delivery.
180mb update just installed and now it's bringing down all my apps. It's much lighter then I expected. Feels nice.
