'I've Ordered a Nexus 5' Thread! (Order & Shipping Discussion)

I was supposed to have it today but apparently there was an "exception in the sorting process. UPS has taken corrective action...blah blah blah". So now my delivery has been re-scheduled for tomorrow. Quite annoying but there it is. Another day to wait! I wonder if requesting that it be redirected to a UPS retail location over the weekend had anything to do with it. Serves me right for trying to make it more convenient for myself.

I just got off the phone with UPS. On my package there is no signature required, but they said that it is in the driver's discretion if no one receives the package, whether to leave it or not. But if you leave a note with the tracking information on your door indicating that you would like it left, they are likely to do that.

Guess I'll find out what happens on that one. Sometimes I beat him home, sometimes I don't. Here's hoping that either today is one of those days where I do or that he pays attention to the delivery instructions I left via UPS My Choice.

Ordered within first 10 minutes and worried a little but because I never got a shipping email. I ordered the 32 gb black with 2 day shipping. I just got my shipping confirmation. UPS' tracking says that it was originally scheduled for delivery on Wednesday but they are going to early deliver it tomorrow instead. Yeah!!!!

I'm pretty much at the end of the UPS route so it won't be until 6 or 7 tomorrow evening. Best of luck to those still waiting.

Awesome! What time did you get your tracking info today? I got mine today too and I'm hoping to get it Tuesday too.

Bleh, tracking info still saying origin scan, no departure scans yet. It's supposed to get here Wednesday.

I left instructions via ups my choice as well but I guess it didn't matter, driver wanted a signature and this is the first they have delivered so early in the morning. Usually I get ups deliveries around 3 - 4pm. I'll go pick up today when the driver gets back to the sort facility at 6:30

Ordered at 2:48 EST on the first day. Got my tracking on Sunday and now UPS shows early delivery on Tuesday. I paid extra for 2 day shipping but now I wish I went with standard shipping because I'm overseas right now and I get home on Saturday. This sucks....should've called in sick....lol.....life of an Airline Pilot.

Dang I have a departure scan listed and I'm not getting mine till Thursday. Hopefully it will come a little earlier, it seems a few people have had their estimated deliveries changed.

It doesn't work. Someone from engadget tried with a live verizon sim over the weekend.

Interesting. The only time I've ever had to sign for a package was when I ordered something from the UK and the shipper required it. Couldn't even leave a signed info notice - It had to be handed off to a person at the house. Of course the first attempt at delivery for that was 1:15pm and the info notice suggested he'd be there between 10:30-2:30 the following day. When did he show? 6:00pm.

Ah well. Guess I'll just wait and see what happens.
