'I've Ordered a Nexus 5' Thread! (Order & Shipping Discussion)

Ordered mine about 4 minutes after it was available on the 31st. Received it on Monday. It has replaced my Samsung Galaxy S3 that I am using on AT&T for another 3 months until my contract is up and then I will see what my off contract options are. I got the 32G black.

First impressions are that it is ALOT faster than my Galaxy S3 was. Applications pop much quicker and using the phone overall is much nicer. I have found the battery to be what I would expect. It is probably a bit better then my S3 was, but I had this for a little over a year so I am sure the battery degraded a bit.

I think the camera on the Nexus 5 is great. I am not sure what people are complaining about. This is a camera on your phone. If you want to be taking professional quality photos then you need to think about getting a camera that is suited for that. If you are a normal person who wants to take normal everyday pictures I can't imagine you will be disappointed.

The one complaint I have is that I use my phone for a lot of conference calls for work where I have the call on speaker. I think the speakers are a bit "tinny" sounding. That said I think it is not a deal breaker, just an observation.

So far (after 2 days) I am very happy with the Nexus 5

I've ordered a replacement unit...the left bottom quadrant has a dark haze over it compared to the other 3 quadrants that'll beautifully sharp.

Just got my shiney new white Nexi 5:) I jumped the gun too soon and left verizon but didnt get tmobile yet so I no service right now...but nothing matters when im plaiyng with this beauty lol
Go to a T-Mobile store front...they will have you online and running in 15 or 30 minutes.

Unlike Verizon, T-Mobile staffs their stores with Phone nerds, not sales people. Talking to them was like talking to people on this site. They actually had a clue as to what the phones could do and how to set them up properly.
 
I ordered a white 32GB yesterday morning, with a wait time of 2-3 weeks listed. Much to my surprise today, about 10 minutes ago, I got a shipping email from Google, with UPS tracking number! I'm shocked and surprised to say the least!

The tracking number just says "label created" which is normal, however my Google play order status still says "leaves warehouse in 2-3 weeks" so I'm not 100% sure what's really going on. Once my shipping label starts showing real tracking information, I guess I'll know.

I ordered a white 32GB Monday with the same 2-3 week wait, got a shipping notification yesterday, and it's on the truck to be delivered today. My guess is this isn't a fluke and they're sending it out

Looks like mine will finally be here tomorrow. Was hoping for today but I don't think it will happen. Now I just need to get this sim thing figured out and I am good.
 
Ordered on Oct. 31 ship date Nov. 6 figured on another 9 days as expected delivery was before Nov.15. Time to sell the Nexus 4 :)
 
Okay so my Nexus 5 16gb black says leaves warehouse by Nov 8th as it was ordered at 1:30pm central the first day available. Problem is the
last two days it has said shipped in the area where I click more info yet provides no tracking # anywhere. Also when I go to Googles main page and type in order status it shows my order for my nexus 5 and says track it now with ups. Yet when I do that I get sent to ups.com with no attached tracking number and its been like this for 48 hours. Anyone else seeing similar results? This is pretty annoying...

So I emailed Google on holding funds , here is the response I received : Hello Harrison,

Thank you for contacting Google Support!I understand you called in today concerned about seeing a authorization hold.

Once you place an order, charges generally post to your credit/debit card within a few days. Though you'll immediately see an authorization for the hold of funds for your purchase, the charge won't be applied until your item has shipped.
After reviewing your account, I can confirm that your order has shipped. You can check the status and tracking number of your order any time in Google Wallet.. but it still says pending..hopefully it is shipped

Yes I had the same issue. they say they wont charge you because they haven't technically charged you yet. The charge is pending. I just called my bank and had them deauthorize the transaction and then when it shipped it posted.

Well at least you guys have hope, the pending charge disappeared, still says pending and "Dispatched from warehouse in 2 - 3 weeks" on my 16gig Black model. Le sigh. Sort of giving up hope on being one of the lucky ones to get it in the next month.

I think you're right. Maybe the stock situation improved, at least with the white. I guess they want to leave the estimates at 2-3 weeks to cover themselves. Don't want to over promise until they have a more solid understanding of their inventory flow.

Anyway, my nexus has now been picked up by UPS and they list delivery for tomorrow!

My Nexus 5 got into San Pablo yesterday (11/05) at 11am. It won't be delivered until tomorrow (at least thats what UPS still says). The most frustrating thing? San Pablo is like 35 minutes from me -_-
 
Well I now have a white nexus 5 on the charger, odd since my shipping said "leaves warehouse in 4 weeks" (which quickly became 2-3 weeks). I'm not complaining at all, kinda feel bad for everyone who ordered hours before me and hasn't received one yet. I wonder if it's possible that different warehouses around the country just shipped to it's own region? Or if Google even has different warehouses across the states.

Your Lucky!! Ordered my 32GB Black Saturday and is still pending and says ships in 2 to 3 weeks. Getting irritated but really want this phone so I guess I'll unhappily wait :)
