"I've ordered my Galaxy Note 5" (Order & Shipping Discussion)

Picked up my GS6E+ from Best buy yesterday morning, there were about 6 people waiting for either the edge + or the note 5. The process went pretty smooth and I made sure they didn't touch my att grandfathered in unlimited data and 700 munites/unlimited text plan while putting the phone on the next 12 plan, I got the wireless charger (the old one) and also got the $200 credit for trading in my old $2 Nokia lumia 521 (old Tmobile prepaid phone) with no problem and they took the $56 in taxes out of the $200 gift card and told me I can use the $50 preorder gift card for whatever I wanted. After that process I then went and traded in my old note 3 and an old HTC one x seperately for $180 at customer service, so all together I got my phone, the charger and almost $400 in best buy credit through the whole visit woohoo!

Did u have NEXT before? I just ask because I used to work for ATT and they did not let people keep grandfathered plans when switching to NEXT. I would just call them and make sure.

Nope, I wasn't on AT&T Next before, been with them since 1999 and got grandfathered into the unlimited Data plan around 2010 or so then they swithed it over to Personal Unlimited LTE Data plan around 2011, Best buy didn't touch my voice or data plans just added the Next 12 payment plan for the phone, checked it yesterday after they were done and again this afternoon and it's still intact on my account :).

Good deal congrats man. I know ATT no longer lets retailers offer subsidized plans (discounted phones for 2 yr contracts) so this maybe something that they now allow. I don't work there anymore but I just wanted to make sure your plan stayed intact and it wasn't someone just telling you they did it. I'm glad to hear that they're offering this option now. Thanks for the info.

Actually AT&T doesn't offer those plans either. You buy it on contract and they charge you a $25 a month line access fee. At this point, there is no reason to ever do a contract with AT&T for buying a phone.

Tell me which phone to buy ??

I am currently using HTC One and now I am bored from this phone and want to change my smartphone

There are literally hundreds to choose from. Are you asking about the Note 5 or the S6 Edge Plus?

DevLX, are you wanting to use your phone as a business phone that requires the use of the S -Pen, or do you want a dual edge screen?

I have the note 4 and preordered it 2 months in advance and i have never regretted it. I cannot live with out a Note from here on out! I will be upgrading to the 5 in a couple months. You wont be disappointed!!

I finally got a tracking number today for my order of the 16th. Delivery on the 26th if the fires don't close the freeways in Idaho, Oregon, or Washington.

After TMO messed up my "NEXT DAY" order (from last Tuesday), I finally get my Note 5 tomorrow.

These Sprint bastards aren't getting 64gb ones and it's almost time for the damn trade-in promo to end. Looks like I'll have to go in and specifically order one instead of waiting for a freakin' shipment.

Got mine today loving it so far still trying to figure out how to keep group text going that were started on my iphone

Ordered a 64GB Black Saphirre from Verizon but they didn't have them in stock. Had to pay off my iPhone 6+ $596 but Verizon is going to buy my phone for $465 when I get my Note in. Will get it on Tusday or Wednesday......playing the waiting game now.
Same here so much for Tuesday or Wednesday delivery maybe next week. Glad I had it shipped to my job

Those pics look sweet, what did you take them with? That wallpaper really set it off nicely any chance you can post a copy?

Sony Tx100 digital i've had a few years now. Sony makes the best optics. Wallpaper is from the Zedge app in the play store. )

Re: Loving the Note 5 so far.

Lots of talk about Samsung Pay from the American users and I'm here like :'(

Canadians are awfully behind in the mobile payment area, we don't even have Apple Pay! Sometimes, when I visit the U.S. I see people using either Google Wallet or Apple pay to buy things whereas in Canada the closest thing I have to mobile payment is displaying my Starbucks Card barcode for my local barista to scan...

On the other hand, I was fortunate enough to receive my Note 5 on launch day! I was able to get the only unit available at my local carrier's store. To those who are still waiting, you'll have a great time when you receive yours. It's been a flawless first Android experience for me so far.

Re: Loving the Note 5 so far.

Purchased my Note5 with T-Mobile via the phone. Saying that the experience was terrible would be an understatement. I have excellent credit and qualified for $0 down, but for some reason their system ran my credit so many times that it started rejecting the payment plan and and was requiring me to pay full price up-front. :/ After about an hour on the phone with a supervisor finally got it straightened out and I received my Note5 2 days ago. New user to the Note Series, and so far I'm pretty impressed. A little annoyed that it doesn't have a MicroSD card slot, hoping that the Note 6 has it.

black 64gb VZW on fedex truck for delivery, pretty pumped as I agonized back and forth whether to make the purchase for the last few weeks...
