"I've ordered my HTC 10!" (Order & Shipping Discussion)

I ordered on the 12th and I called to check the status a few minutes ago and it says pending payment. I had to call to get that status because it wouldnt allow me to log in. HTC says there is a confusion between cc payment and paypay. I chose paypal initially but it wouldnt work so i chose CC payment. But my order seems to be confused as to which to use, its been escalated to resolve it. I hope they dont cancel it this close to shipping. I am not sure if they're going to actually call me back or email me when they decide whats going to happen. I am a bit torn, as I'd like to have a device on order just in case they do cancel it because I'm certain it means i'll end up starting at the end of the line even though i placed a preordered early. If I hadnt checked on it, I wonder if anything wouldve happened at all.
 
Jack, Bowie is not right... I pre-ordered the unlocked HTC 10 like two weeks before Verizon pre-orders were even available. Common sense says HTC should have allocated the first phones off the line to be unlocked ones for their CUSTOMERS who ordered FIRST (and had them ready to be shipped) NOT to Verizon because they said jump.

Regardless, I see my order has been sent to fulfillment to be shipped so it should be all good now. :-)

Glad you got that off your chest, then. :confused:
 
I ordered from HTC on 4/29 for the Verizon model (Overnight Shipping).

Card hasn't been process and the DRI website site indicates -
HTC 10 - Verizon - Glacier Silver
Boxed Shipment

So, as much as I want the phone to arrive on Friday.... I will have to bite the bullet and assume that it will be a next week delivery!

It was the same thing with my HTC Droid Incredible.... But it was worth the wait...

Can't wait to get ride of on M9!
 
what kind of screen protector did you get? I'm new to the whole tempered glass thing, I've always used films. Just curious to see what people are getting

Edit- this was supposed to be a reply to one of the comments (I suck at the internet today apparently), but I wouldn't mind the question being posed to everyone.
 
You're right, of course. After all, Verizon customers are getting the less-capable version versus our fully-functional, unlocked masterpiece of a device. And it is just a phone. Not life and death. I can understand how my post could be seen as pouty jealousy. But what's the point of being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes? :p

I fail to see where I was wrong. Verizon was indeed a pre-order.
Regarding the rest, HTC's pre-order never said anything about being the first on your block. There's no reason for the common sense statement as it's not founded in common sense, just an incorrect expectation. I've seen many pre-orders where the phones hit retail stores the same week they ship. Pre-orders used to be about making sure they didn't sell out, but somehow people turned that into "me first". Also, about the all-caps "customers", Verizon users are HTC customers too.
We can feel differently about the situation and I'm ok with that. I pre-ordered too but I'm happy for the Verizon customers who are getting theirs this week. Why shouldn't we be happy for them?? :-\
 
Unlocked pre ordered on day one, got charged on the credit card today morning. Silver color, so expect to ship today.
 
Seems odd that everyone got charged at shipment but I got charged over a week ago. Not upset or suspicious or anything. Just trying to figure out how they do their billing.

We know HTC has been struggling..they just needed a little extra cash up front :) You were the lucky one...LOL

Sadly, I've been spending so much lately that I didn't even know what it was at first. I thought I was going to have to call Visa, then realized, "Oh wait, I'm getting a new phone! Yay me!"

Unfortunately, the 200gb SD card I received for it yesterday is fake! Everything on the packaging looked right but the barcode is fake (had to scan it to find out). No more ebay for memory. Heading to BestBuy.
 
Pre-ordered April 12 and got charged that same day. My order is in fulfillment at the moment and I'm happy about that. Now that i think about it, i did pay through paypal so that may have something to do, or not. :-!
 
My case and screen protector just arrived. Wait for the phone..
