That's happened to me in the past.
On the subject of the way Google ships. For some reason that's just the way they do it. I have no idea why. It's not just with phones. When they launched project Fi, I requested an invite as soon as I could. The next day I told a co-worker, and he told another co-worker of ours. They both requested invites a couple of days after me, yet I didn't get an invite for over a month after they both did.
My co-worker teased me and said that Google was teaching me a lesson for using the Iphone LOL. That still makes me laugh thinking about it now.
I think they are teaching me a lesson again, for being greedy and ordering a 128Gb version, as well as occasionally still using a Iphone 6+.
I've never understood why posters complain about people complaining. This happens every Nexus launch. Thinking about it now, I understand, or at least think I do now.
The complaining adds a touch of negativity to a mostly positve thread about people getting thier phones shipped. If I had a phone on the way, I wouldn't like reading how someone else still hasn't recieved any info on thier's, even though they ordered way before me. I would feel bad for them, because there's nothing that can be done, but still happy I'm getting my phone.
I don't think this was that bad of a Nexus launch. It is much better than last year. I'm waiting on a 128GB Frost model (ordered on Oct 4), so I'm not even in the discussion of anything being shipped, or anyone ordering after me getting their phones. I orignally ordered a 128GB aluminum on 9/29, so I would have been waiting either way.
