Nexus 5X and 6P both say "Pending", whatever that means. Probably nothing.

Edit: Ordered as soon as someone posted the link on twitter.
Nexus 5X 16GB Carbon Oct 23-27
Nexus 6P 32GB Aluminium Oct 30-Nov 3

If it was me... I'd click on the Order Support link on the detail page and then talk to someone at Google about your order and ask them.

My nexus was updated to 11/2 nexus 6p...Nexus 5x no update... Still a long time. Worth the wait tho

Anyone who has been changed to pending.. can you keep an eye on your credit cards? Im curious how soon after pending do the cards get charged.

On September 29, I ordered my 32GB Nexus 5X right after the announcement and the status now shows Pending with October 23-26

This morning (October 12), I ordered a 32GB Nexus 6P (Aluminum) and it shows as Pre-Ordered with November 13-16

Well, thanks to the lovely abusers of the world compromising my credit card this weekend I will now be screwed on both of my orders. I am so happy.

Tried contacting Google support. They told me they would pass my valuable information on logistics support to their team meeting after I told them they should allow customers to change their billing information if a product has not shipped. Final answer from them, wait to see what happens when they try to charge the account, or cancel and place a new order.

Would anyone make a suggestion as far as a protective case for the Nexus 6P? Also include a link :-). I looked on Amazon for a few.

It's been 11 days since I looked, but I looked all over and ultimately settled on the Adopted case sold on the Google Store. Everything on Amazon had the camera cutout wrong and was covering the laser auto focus.

I have a love hate (mostly hate) relationships with cases. I hate putting them on my phone, especially a beautifully designed one. But I also stress about every little nick and scratch on my phone. I can't stop doing things like using it with one hand while walking down the sidewalk after a few drinks. So it's really for the best for me to use one. Also all I have to do is look at the case on my current phone and see what I have spared my phone by keeping it in a case.

I'm the same damn way about cases. It takes away from the phone. That's why I try to get clear ones if available. But still doesn't really do the phone justice. Better than damaging it though I guess.

Edit: just bought the clear one. Looks nice. Now I just need a glass screen protector from amazon and I'll be set. Oh and the phone would be nice too!

It depends on how durable of an aluminum alloy Huawei is using here. If the Nexus P is made out of, save, 7000 Series aluminum, it'll probably be more durable that most cases you'll buy.

Maybe, but if we assume an impact that will make a mark on 7000 Series aluminum or on a case, I'd rather it be on a case that can be replaced to refresh the look of the device. Plus if we're talking about an impact that hard, the internals and/or screen might be at risk, and a case will help protect those components, too.

One day I'll be rich enough that I can keep my phones unprotected and just get a new one every time I get a ding. (That's what I keep telling myself).

I tried to order a 64G today but they are sold out (all colors). Couldn't make myself pull the trigger Friday and now I have to wait :'(

I'll run this phone naked.

Why not? 1 year later, smash the phone pay 80 bucks get a new one. Do the same a year after.

All said and done, I pay $250 to never have to worry about scratching, denting, or shattering my phone. That isn't bad considering repairing it would probably cost that much and refurb units will more than likely cost more than that.

1/3 the price to literally enjoy the phone to the max? Yes please.

I see your point...I just couldn't smash a phone. Lol

There is an article over on Phandroid right now supposedly showing leaked night photo's comparing 6p to iphone 6 (not 6+). If true, this shows the 6p camera to be fantastico. Just something to read while we wait for the phones to ship!
