i won't say the wait is killing me, but this is my first pre-order for a phone. Guessing I'm just so used to amazon 2-day shipping that waiting a week, not to mention 5 weeks just feels so odd. It's not something you can really just forget about b/c it's not like you stop using your current phone.

Amazon spoils us. I always have Nexus cases delivered weeks before I get the actual phone LOL.

it's much smoother, turning off imessage has worked for me 100% of the time in the past year.

That's good to hear because about 2 years ago I had a horrible problem with not getting texts for weeks! I even contacted Apple and afterwords continued to not revive texts.

Same here, all my friends were upset when I switched from iphone to Android again because they said didn't want to see the green. They threatened not to text me anymore (empty threats) lol. I went from android to an iphone 5c to a galaxy S5( which I really like). I wasn't really going to upgrade for another year - BUT man, the Nexus 6p had me with it's design, and I couldn't say no! Unless apple does something really innovative, i just can't see myself going back.

I completely agree. I've jumped phones and platforms over the years a lot and vanilla android and iOS are definitely my favorite. Been awhile since I've been on a nexus device so I'm looking forward to it.

Ya it's more comments like that. GF might complain about not seeing me type if we are going back and forth but it's gets forgotten quickly.

I thought I'd wait for reviews but couldn't resist. Leaving the iPhone 6 Plus for a 32 GB graphite Nexus 6P. I've been waiting for a worthy nexus device on Verizon as I didn't like the N6 design. Only a nexus could pull me off IOS as I'm pretty imbedded. Only problem is the shipping date is November 20th but I hope that gets bumped up. Gives me time to think of an excuse for my GF as to why my texts aren't blue anymore tho

I would tell my wife "Sorry the messages are only green honey, but if you had an Android you could make your incoming and outgoing text messages whatever color, size, shape, or font that you wanted."

No news there. Shipments are coming at the times they were originally promised, according to that site. I think they're confusing the first order 5x ship dates of the 23rd with the 6p

I'm glad that I got my 128gb pre-order in before the phones went out of stock. I'm excited to get rid of my current carrier for Project Fi as well. That'll save me a ton of money in the long run.

I haven't seen any progress since I made the order, and that was in September 29 (Nexus 6p 64g Aluminum)...And two day shipping also! Still says preordered November 6-9...I don't know if it have to do depending the credit card (I used American Express). :'(

I wish it had for me. I tried an iPhone 6 for a couple months earlier this year. Removing my number from iMessage worked except for group messages. If there was an ongoing group message thread, I didn't get any of the messages from that group. My friends had to go into their iMessage and delete all message threads I was in for it to work again. Enough of a pain in the *** that I'm unlikely to try an iPhone again anytime soon.
