I bought the 128gb Graphite through Google Fi. Google Fi is promising a protection plan of their own a little later and I will take them up on that when it becomes available and maybe cheaper.

32GB Graphite Nov 4 - 6

Had to cancel and re order, google wallet apparently defaults to my old address. I guess I'm lucky I caught it today and not a month from now.

How did you guys manage to snag October ship dates? I was appending '6p' to the URL address and loaded and placed my order before the 'Phones' page on the Google Store had updated and linked to the new phones. Must have been at least 10 minutes before the page went live. I only manged to get a Nov 4-6 ship date on my 64gb Charcoal 6P. //confused

I think it depends on what configuration you order. I ordered a 64 GB Aluminum very quickly and still got Nov. 4-6. It sounds like the 5X's are going to be done before the 6P's, too. However, in my experience, Google launch products do tend to ship a little faster than the timing they indicate on the site. I wouldn't be surprised if you and I both got our orders around October 27-28.

I ordred mine about 1 minute AFTER the page went live, 64gb graphite 6p, BUT i chose 1-day ship so im Oct 30-Nov2

Got an instant invite to ProjectFi and ordered the Aluminum 6P 64GB on the payment plan. Shipping being shown first week in November, hopefully it will come sooner than that. I have T-Mobile currently - ProjectFi will save me about $30 per month for what looks like the equivalent service, so that more than makes up for the $22 per month for the 6P. I just hope it isn't too big for me - I have always thought of the Nexus 5 as the perfect size, but ready to step up a bit.

I'm not sure of the exact time, but I might have ordered within the first 5 minutes or so... and it took a couple minutes to choose which color and size... I got my email confirmation at 12:24 PM CST.

***EDIT: I went to the page before it was linked to from the main Store page... when I was first trying it the site was only going to the old Nexus 6 page... so I had to change the URL to be nexus_6p

Ahh, I see. I tried doing that trick too, but i did it too early and page didnt pull up. I got my confirmation at 12:36pm central time i guess.

Original, and sadly cancelled, order confirmation came in at 12:30pm on the dot.

I didn't play with the url, just hammered the refresh until the page updated.

What does the charge look like on a credit card? Does it charge immediately and stay there unless cancelled? Or does it charge, disappear, then charge again when it ships? I need to order it but if it's immediate and doesn't go away o might have to wait

The pre-authorization looks like that. That charge will drop off in 2-3 days and when they ship it will do a full permanent charge of that amount.

Ordered frost in 64gb (would have done 32 if it was available, but oh well). I splurged for Nexus Protect because my old Nexus 5 bit the dust just DAYS after the one year mark and Google wouldn't do anything about it. Figured better safe than sorry.

Delivery date is Nov 5-9th, and since Nov 5th is my birthday, that'll be a nice present to look forward to. (Though...I'll be out of town so unless it comes early I won't get to play with it until after).

UK here. I managed to place my order for a Graphite 64GB pretty quickly (my confirmation email tells me 6.26PM local), but still got Nov. 2-4.
Looking around here it seems like I actually have been lucky though...

Hopefully they'll actually ship a little sooner.

So yesterday, I ordered a 32GB Ice Blue Nexus 5X, but I cancelled the order moments ago. After learning it had single front-facing speaker, zero image stabilization (no OIS & EIS), and some software features like smart burst would be exclusive to the 6P simply because the 808 wasn't powerful enough... I just couldn't justify purchasing it anymore.
