I've used the LG V10, you have questions. Have at me!

I'm thinking this will be my next phone. Been sitting on an upgrade for quite some time. I have a Note 3, skipped the Note 4 waiting for the Note 5, underwhelmed by the Note 5's missing features and especially Samsung so looking for my next phone. Hope they don't wait too long to release it here. Locked bootloader annoys me but it's not a dealbreaker for me. It's the cost of having to buy from a carrier due to being a poor married boy and needing a monthly payment plan.

I have a note 3 and it would be a big upgrade I think. The only thing that is kind of a bummer is that it feels like it has been over 2 years and we will only be upgrading by 1 generation of Snapdragon (800 to 808). The 810 was a failure and we are just missing out on the 820.

Well, 1.5 generations. The 805 came out a year ago and was a pretty good upgrade from the 800. The 808 is only a little upgrade over the 805.

Oh ok didn't know about the 805.

How's the sound/audio quality? Did you try listening to music with good quality headphones? What music app have you tried? I think the DAC is a significant differentiator between the V10 and other phones, including the G4.

It doesn't. The second screen is supposed to serve as your "notification light" by showing some notifications while it is off.

how does the audio of LG V10 (connected to a wired headphone) compare to HTC ONE M9?

But there's am option to disable the second screen. Do notifications cease to come through there then?

Yep, sorry. I assume LG intended that people use the second screen, so they didn't put a notification light.

I figured as much. Same thing with my nexus 6 and personally I haven't used the ambient display in about 8 months

I got to play with the phone just a little while ago actually. T-Mobile had a demo unit. It feels pretty premium to me. Extremely shark looking, that's for sure.

How is the durability an build quality of the v10?
İs it really a shock proof phone?
İs it the most rigid phone?
İs the steel frame coloured and will show black signs upon scratching?

The build quality is excellent. It looks and feels like a premium phone. The steel frame is solid and does add a little weight but also creates the feel of a solid well built phone. The silicon back and shock absorbing end caps keep the phone from getting scratches and cracks if dropped.

İs it really a shock proof phone?
I haven't dropped mine on anything hard yet (just the carpeted floor), but from those that have reported drops, none have seen as much as a scratch.

İs it the most rigid phone?
It is hard to beat the solid steel frame for rigidity...

İs the steel frame coloured and will show black signs upon scratching?
Quote from review on GSM Arena: "The LG V10 is an exercise in rugged design and premium engineering. The chassis, which LG has dubbed Dura Guard, is built out of 316L stainless steel (which is harder and heavier than aluminum). Stainless steel is covered with chromium oxide and when scratched, the chromium underneath reacts with oxygen from the air and heals the scratch, preventing further damage."
