J3 "IMS Services Has Stopped"

This popup appears everytime my daughter powers on her phone. Vzw was no help. She uses the stock msg app, I've cleared that data and cache. Can't seem to find a fix for it. I've went into system apps, force stopped the IMS Services app and rebooted, no luck

Does this also happen in Safe Mode? https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-34449. If not, then some app she installed might be causing the instability. Unfortunately, this would mean tediously uninstalling apps one by one until the problem goes away.

I have noticed this too. It happens to me also on every reboot. However, there has been no side effect at all. Texting and calling still work fine. Is anything else happening because of IMS stopping?

it still shows up in safe mode. As with DJJoseph, everything works fine, I just get the popup when the phone boots up. I deleted the system cache too. Hopefully the next update will fix this but seeing how it hasn't affected anything, guess it's not too big of a deal

Did that too. However last night ran into something new. Turned off the phone, and the battery circle came up as if I were charging it (I wasn't) but the green battery and percentage never displayed and the phone vibrated every few seconds. I hit the power button as if to turn off the display and that fixed it. Never seen that before. Think I'm getting close to a factory reset with her phone. Luckily she only has a few apps downloaded so it shouldn't be that big of a deal.

I agree, factory reset would be the next step. If that doesn't help, then consider reinstalling the firmware using Smart Switch or Odin.
