Jan 1 security patch is out for US unlocked N10+

I tried Goodluck but can't see what all the fuss is about. I didn't give it a fair test run though so maybe I'm missing out.

Same here, absolutely fine without good lock and not a big fan of it !!!

What you mean?

If i dont use GoodLock NavBar to add the Turn Screen Off button. There wont be a way to turn screen off other than using 3rd party apps such as Soft Lock and so, but using 3rd party apps disables the FPS and it will require pin/pattern.

Gotcha ..

Pixel security patches always releases first Monday of the month. Will be side loading the update on my Pixel 4 XL later today afternoon after Google releases it in couple of hours.

Great to see both my unlocked Note 10 and Pixel 4 XL on the same security patch for consecutive months now.

If only Samsung can reduce the number of firmwares for a particular model then it'll be great. As of now still it'll take few weeks for every firmware/variant of Note 10 to receive the update in the US and all over the world.

That is true, but it is taking the Pixel 4 several weeks as well for the different carriers, at least it has so far. Just noting Samsungs improvements so far lately, which is a good thing to me.

Yeah but we can sideload the pixel security updates on day one on any version/carrier and can’t do the same for Samsung phones unless it’s released for that firmware.

I’m completely with you and agree on Samsung improvements with updates. They are doing great.

Edit: Downloading OTA currently on Pixel 4 XL, on track as usual on first Monday of month.

Still got nothing here. I just recently got on Android 10 so I'm ok for now.

Why don't you program the side key to do that?

True....they probably fixed some issues.
Usually it tells you on the software page , I can't check because i flashed it this morning and when you do that it won't give the changes that came with the update

From the change log there isn't anything other than saying January security patch. I think all the changes came on the Android 10 update, this month I don't think there is anything extra other than the security patch.

Here is the details of Samsung Jan security patch:
